The woman wrote that the water bottle thrown by Haithcock was done negligently. She says her head was injured and her eardrum was ruptured. Her medical fees exceed $10,000. Her attorney says the throwing of the water bottle was caught on camera. KCE made a public records request for the mentioned footage but we were denied, saying that the “footage doesn’t exist.” There are no disciplinary documents in Mr. Haithcock’s personell file.

KUSD Attorneys Respond

Attorney Thomas Donnelly of Grady, Hayes & Neary, LLC answered the lawsuit in writing. First, Donnelly denies that the school district received a “notice of claim,” contradicting KUSD’s statement to KCE that it had received the document. KUSD denies that the woman was injured, stating no evidence. KUSD asserts that the 60-year-old woman was herself, responsible for being hit in the head by the thrown water bottle due to her “neglect.”

  1. There’s actually a job called “chief of school leadership”? I guess that, since everyone is now a leader, we have to find a next-level title. But isn’t “chief” somehow offensive to the Left? How did that job title slip through? It seems like some sort of insensitive misappropriation or something.

        1. There’s a female teacher at Gateway that makes over $100 k , to teach students how to paint fingernails.

          1. This site doesn’t have accurate information. My Dad is a government employee, and his listed salary is super inaccurate.

      1. Top heavy crap that has been around for years with no attempt to fix it. What a waste of tax money.

    1. Right! Definitely a f’n joke! Paying someone almost $200k a year for nothing! Leadership my ass! KUSD claims they can’t afford extra teacher assistance, etc. but us taxpayers are paying for a position not needed😡These are grown ass adults who should know leadership or get instructions through Superintendent! This just really fired me up🖕🏻

      11
  2. Did I read this right? KUSD claims it was her negligence that caused her to get hit in the head with a thrown bottle.

    1. I had to read that line three times just to make sure I was reading that correctly.

“Why was your face in the way of my fist”….

      2

  3. She was neglectful for not ducking out of the path of the water bottle? Yep, sounds like KUSD. I’m sure they’ve already had an internal investigation and determined the “Chief” should get a raise.

What a sorry bunch of hypocrites and losers.

  4. It’s almost relieving to read this. No sex scandals, sexting, grooming, pornographic books, racial issues or whatever.

      1. Violent behavior is not okay but we are not certain of the facts in this case so I will reserve judgment until it comes out

  5. So the woman is suing to win her tax money back, which in return she’ll have to pay more of when the schools ask for more of her property taxes? “Brilliant”.

  6. I’m no kusd fan at all because they suck but this lady seems to be looking for a payday. Ruptured ear drum from a water bottle? And there’s no video…….

    1. I guess the jury will figure that out, but I’d like to see the video that they “say” doesn’t exist. If it exists, Kevin will find it and get it. They apparently haven’t heard of all the cases he has won with being denied Public Records Request. 😂

  7. Making $175,000.plus benefits for doing what? Test scores are terrible everyone is complaining about schools and he’s not worth that kind of money, but what is Weiss making for the terrible job he is doing?? Kevin, can you post salaries of the top 100 wage earners in KUSD we should be able to see where our money is going?

    1. Remember that when all the idiot liberals keep harping about how Walker and every Republican has “defunded” public schools.

Everyone, literally EVERYONE that “works” on 52nd Street should be fired tomorrow and never replaced.

If you don’t have contact with school kids everyday of the week, there is absolutely no need for your position. And for any liberal reading this, please justify why the should have their jobs.

  8. Must be the culture there. When my son was at Mahone, every Friday kids would push their way out the door and chuck water bottles at students heads…

  9. Did anyone care to ask why he threw the bottle at this woman ? Was he trying to give her a
    lobottle-me ? 😎. And WE pay this guy $14,500 a month ? He probably works 6 months a year.
Tanya Ruder is feverishly conjuring up a cover story.

    1. Have you ever seen ruders writing and communication skills. She is a joke making a crapload of money

  10. If she was hit in the ear, yes, it could have damaged her eardrum! His violent behavior is not okay! What did he just teach kids…sure in the F isn’t leadership! KUSD makes me sick😡

His position is not needed! What a waste of money! Why don’t y’all do more for the children than yourselves!!!!!!

  11. More of our school tax hard at work. Keep up the good work Kevin!. BTW we’re milking 90 cows now. Was a long road to get there.

  12. No wonder all the schools are broke. Paying guys like this $174,000/year on the taxpayer dime. The public education system is broken and it’s theft on the taxpayers while indoctrinating children into being mindless sheep.

This country deserves to fall and it is.

  13. As easy as it is to hate Kenosha’s Unbelievable School District this sounds a bit fishy. A school administrator throwing a water bottle at a 60-year-old woman attending a graduation ceremony sounds bizarre. It does not from what little we know sound “violent” in the sense that the lawsuit alleges negligence, not reckless or intentional injury which could result in a lot more $$$ at stake. It could be true but the smell test says there must be more to the story.

      1. Well, let’s wait for the rest of the story. Think like this. You’re playing baseball in your back yard. Someone hits a ball and breaks a neighbor’s window. Accident. Someone hits a ball and it strikes another person. Accident. Someone throws a ball at the neighbor’s window because they’re pissed off at the neighbor. Criminal damage property. Someone throws a ball and it hits another person without the intent to hurt them. Accident.

  14. When we have as many different stories as this, I look forward to withholding all judgment and watching the trial carefully. If this gets settled out of court, we better get all the information given to us or figure out how to shut the school system down

  15. Being sued constantly is the real reason they have no money and are shutting down dozens of schools (except for the tons of money they are sinking into the new one) that will impact children, families, and teachers, essentially the entire community. And one incident after another of wrongdoing from their teachers and instead of owning up to it, they deny it and give them a free get out of jail card. WTG KUSD, you’re a shining example for families and children to admire! Soon everyone will yank their kids out and homeschool, just to avoid the circus act.

  16. How many KUSD schools are closing because of budget shortfalls again? 4 or 5? Haaaaa and Mr. leadership makes $175K to wander the halls looking for leadership candidates. Public schools are a joke.

  17. There’s a lot more to this guy. A deep dive into his past would show that this is likely true, and likely malicious.

    2

  18. Over and above the published salary would be interesting the know the cost to taxpayers of other benefits like pension, health care, along with if a car/fuel/insurance provided, cellphone, meals……am sure there is more.

Likely the cost of all bennies is very substancial.

  19. Maybe over payed but has always been well liked.Teachers insurance just got chopped again so say goodbye to a few more. Some good, some probably not.

    1. Teachers have insurance? Why not let them wallow around in the mess that is called ObamaCare?
After all teachers union helped support the Obama/Biden healthcare legislation.
