Injury Accident in Kenosha Closes Intersection For Hours

Today an accident involving 5 vehicles occurred in Kenosha at the intersection of Green Bay Road and 52nd Street at 3:21 PM. The entire intersection was shut down for over two hours. The accident occurred when a semi truck and trailer traveling West on 52nd St failed to properly navigate a turn onto Green Bay Road. The semi collided into four vehicles that were stopped at red light for southbound Green Bay Road.

The semi continued in a southwest direction as it crossed all lanes of 52nd Street before coming to rest on the Culver’s property located at 5220 Green Bay Road. All vehicles were removed from scene by tow trucks. One driver suffered a significant injury. The remaining drivers suffered minor injuries and were treated at local hospitals.   The accident remains under investigation at this time.
