Jack Musha is out as the district administrator for Bristol School District #1. This follows a months-long investigation into him and his ex-wife, a former teacher at the one and only district school. KCE was told by parents that lawyers/investigators were in the school in the past few months asking questions about alleged misconduct by the Mushas.
Allegations were made that Stephanie Musha wasn’t performing her duties in line with policy. Her ex-husband, Jack Musha, was allegedly shielding her from any discipline. She resigned during the investigation.
Jack Musha has been absent from the first week or so of school for the last two or three years. He hasn’t been to school one day this school year. He began leave on the first day of school and hasn’t been to work and will not ever have been into work this school year and his last day is December 31, 2024. He doesn’t have to work from now until then, but will be paid.
According to an email sent on September 2, 2024 by Keri Heusdens, who proudly dispayer he pronouns in her email signature as “she/her/hers,” :
“We are emailing you to share that Jack is on a leave of absence. At this time, should you have any need to communicate with Jack, please connect with your supervisor for guidance. We ask that staff respect Jack’s privacy. We know many of you will want to wish him well of check on him’ however, we ask that you please refrain from emailing, calling or texting him on this matter. We are working on determining the length of his absence and will continue to update staff as we are able to. We appreciate your support and patience during this time.”

Keri Heusdens is the “Principal of Curriculum & Instruction” and Tom Blair is the “Principal of School Safety and Culture.” Musha was placed on a “board-approved leave” on or around September 30, 2024. KCE is told that this was similar to an “Administrative Leave.” Musha, over the last several years has taken many days off for unknown reasons. He has been paid for this entire school year, even though he hasn’t worked a day.
Kenosha County Eye has requested any and all internal and external investigations. We will share the results of the investigations when we receive them.
The district sent out the following yesterday:
“The Bristol School Board of Education would like to let you know that we have accepted Mr. Jack Musha’s voluntary resignation as our District Administrator, effective December 31st, 2024. Mr. Musha will remain on Board-approved leave until his resignation date. We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation for the positive changes Mr. Musha has brought to our school during his tenure. We wish him all the best in this next chapter.
We expect Mr. Jim Feil to continue as our Interim District Administrator until a permanent administrator is selected. We would also like to extend our gratitude to our leadership team and entire staff, who have worked diligently to ensure students’ instructional needs are met during this season.
After the New Year, we will be providing additional information regarding the selection process for a permanent administrator. The Board is committed to a rigorous process that involves various stakeholders to ensure we select a leader who will continue the tradition of excellence that defines Bristol School.

Asked for comment, board president Tina Elfering released the following statement to KCE:
“This was an HR-related issue – [Jack] voluntarily resigned, and safety was not an issue. The board has no further comment.“

Speaking of FOI requests, KM can you FOI the events leading up to former principals Grafs resignation. I think former board members Butenhoff, Scheele, Bies and Kratowicz need a public expose on their blatant stupidity that has cost the Bristol taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars in overstaffing, horrible decisions making, contract buyouts and legal fees.

Jack was an excellent administrator who was working at making Bristol something to be proud of once again. Stephanie was picking up slack where needed and helping out to get things done. It seems that they were both targeted for some reason. This result makes me sad for our school and our community. Bristol School will lose many talented educators and staff because they are not being supported and listened to.

Something else that is very childish is all the teachers that show “unity” by wearing matching colors at school board meetings. From what I understand the latest color was black to show support for Musha. They are going to have as much egg on their face as Butenhoff already does. Resignations just don’t happen without good reasons which we are going to know shortly thanks to KM, 🤣!! As a parent in Bristol, I have engaged in multiple discussions with Mr. Musha. While he articulates his ideas effectively, executing those ideas presents significant challenges. It appears that he cannot manage his responsibilities and ensure the smooth operation of the school. I believe the board has recognized this disparity between his statements and actions.
Mr. Musha is skilled at calling referendums and making empty statements—nothing beyond that—and the community deserves better than that.
Excellent work, Bristol School Board – you truly excelled!
