Kenosha Sheriff David Beth (D) Denies Rittenhouse’s Claim Of Unsanitary Jail Conditions

Kenosha Sheriff David Beth (D) While allegedly Intoxicated

Kyle Rittenhouse spoke with Tucker Carlson, a well known and popular conservative host on Fox News for a special that aired Monday night. Kyle complained about the conditions of the Kenosha County jail calling it a “1 star hotel” and a “super 8.” He then went on the say that he didn’t have running water. He said he was unable to shower from October 31, 2020 until November 20, 2020. There was a desk, tablet, phone, shower, and toilet. Rittenhouse told Carlson that there was no running water and his health declined. He lost weight and was sickly, he told the nations top conservative pundit. He opined that if he was there much longer, he may have needed to go to a hospital.

We reached out to Kenosha Sheriff David Beth (D) to ask if Kyle had running water and through a spokesman, he told the KCE the following:

“Mr. Rittenhouse was housed in our medical isolation unit at the Kenosha County Jail. While housed in this area of the jail, he had his own shower, sink, and toilet. If Mr. Rittenhouse did not shower that was on his own accord.”

Opinion
A jail cell shouldn’t be a luxurious hotel room, but running water is necessary and humane. Sheriff David Beth (D) isn’t the symbol of integrity. He has been accused of misconduct and saying terrible things in public many times. He has a 20-year career of controversy. We don’t believe him. David Beth (D) has been critical of Rittenhouse and other citizens that felt the need to take up arms when he “got lines crossed” with asking the national guard to come help. How does a Sheriff of two decades not know how to call the national guard or governor’s office? He likely lied to the public about that. He was too proud to ask for help for his deputies that were in harm’s way. He is likely lying to us now about running water in Kyle’s jail cell. He can’t be believed. The sad part? His hand-picked replacement, Ray Rowe (D) has promised to continue just as Beth has. Please vote for anyone besides Ray Rowe.

Kenosha County’s outgoing District Attorney, Mike Graveley (D), made some strange moves in the last couple of days. Union, Special Interest Endorsements D.O.A. In Kenosha County: Opinion

Once upon a time in Kenosha County, the union and other special interest endorsements mattered. The UAW was once very powerful and had great influence. Not anymore. When I ran for Alderman in 2012, I got all of the local endorsements – the Police Union, the Fire Union, the AFL-CIO, etc. I won. In 2014, I got all of the same endorsements. I Lost. In my 2016 “rematch,” all of those endorsements went to my opponent.

    1. I also believe Kyle. I don’t believe a sloppy drunk who has a history of misconduct and a shitty way of running the county

  1. I am not sure what to make of Rittenhouse’s comments. He told Tucker that he was in a private cell with a desk, tablet, TV, phone, shower, and toilet in his cell, but he had no running water.* That actually seems like he was given much more than the average joe inmate gets. Although I have no use for the Sheriff and do not consider him to be credible, I still doubt that Rittenhouse was denied water. If he was, Rittenhouse could have simply picked up his phone–why would any inmate have immediate access to a phone–and called one of his lawyers or supporters. Any of these people would have immediately intervened with this denial of a basic necessity of life. During the interview, he said that he did not want to complain because he did not want to draw attention to himself. I just don’t know. Maybe the KCE can turn over some rocks and see what is underneath. I would really like to know who is telling the truth.

    1. X . You have bad reading comprehension. I hope you dont drive. Rittenhouse spoke of 2 different jails. In washington state pre trial detainees have died of thirst. For jailers its a way to control and get admissions.

      1. ben. The link in my post is to the part of the interview where Rittenhouse spoke specifically about what happened to him in the Kenosha County Jail. It is a primary source because it is his own words. Please consider viewing it.

Yes, there are jail staffers who cut off water to inmates. Such actions are considered torture and clearly violate the Eighth Amendment. If the Sheriff did this, he is opening the County up to millions of dollars in judgements. It is a very big deal and it should not be tolerated by Kenosha citizens. Any inmate who makes such a claim should be taken seriously and the claim should be thoroughly investigated.

You do not have to look to the State of Washington for an example of this practice resulting in death. It happened in Milwaukee County not that long ago. The jail administrator was criminally charged.

    2. kyle is telling the truth. kyle was 17 years old. kyle did not want to rock the boat to complain in any fashion. i assume kyle felt if he did complain, that maybe he would be moved into a room with other folks to have running water while his water was repaired in his 1 star isolated room. i think kyle viewed this as a trade off- that he was willing to go without running water in his shower in order to have his other bonus comforts (desk, tv. tablet…). it was not clear- but i think the toilet must have flushed and the sink had water? i think it was just the shower that had no water? my heart hurts that he had to endure those conditions. what a piss poor sheriff to allow such- he should be ashamed of himself.

    1. scott, has the d not always been there? bless his heart- i assumed it was there because he is not worthy of having an R to replace the little dick D
