PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. — A late-night garage fire in the 9100 block of 67th Street prompted a significant emergency response Thursday, injuring one resident and drawing aid from nearly a dozen departments across southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

The fire was first reported to the Pleasant Prairie Public Safety Dispatch Center at 10:43 p.m. on May 16. With smoke and flames visible, a "Working Fire" designation was immediately issued, triggering mutual aid from neighboring jurisdictions.
