KENOSHA, Wis. — A 30-year-old Waukegan man was charged Friday with felony intimidation of a victim and two misdemeanors after allegedly showing up uninvited at his ex-girlfriend’s home and later threatening her repeatedly over the phone.

(Kenosha County Sheriff)
Anthony D. Kindle Jr. was taken into custody Thursday evening after Kenosha police officers responded to a threats complaint on the 2000 block of 53rd Street. According to the criminal complaint, Kindle had been recently released from jail and began calling and texting the woman, who is the mother of his two children, shortly after his release.
The woman told police Kindle informed her earlier that day he had lost his job. She said she hung up the call because they had been separated since October. Hours later, Kindle allegedly showed up at her door and asked to come inside. She refused and threatened to call law enforcement, prompting police to respond.
After being removed from the residence, Kindle allegedly resumed contact later that day using an unknown phone number. The victim reported a barrage of calls and voicemails in which Kindle allegedly threatened her life, saying, “You better have 24 hour police because the only way out of this is death,” and “Ain’t no police can save you.”
An officer noted multiple messages and calls on the woman’s phone, including one message where Kindle allegedly claimed to see police at her house. Officers also reported seeing a man matching Kindle’s description in the area.
When another officer attempted to take Kindle into custody nearby, Kindle allegedly resisted and tried to push the officer’s hand away.
Kindle was charged with felony intimidation of a victim as an act of domestic abuse, telephone harassment, and resisting an officer. He appeared in court Friday, where Court Commissioner William Michel II set cash bail at $10,000. He is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on July 24.
