KENOSHA, Wis. – A 25-year-old Kenosha man is facing a felony drug charge after police say they found over 80 grams of marijuana packaged for sale inside a parked car in the early morning hours of Sept. 1.
Jacell V. Lott was formally charged in Kenosha County Circuit Court on Sept. 2 with one count of possession with intent to deliver THC (≤200 grams), a Class I felony. He was granted release on a signature bond and is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 5.
Suspicious Behavior Leads to Investigation
According to the criminal complaint, Kenosha Police officers on patrol around 2:30 a.m. observed Lott exiting a silver sedan on 21st Avenue near 65th Street. Minutes later, a neighbor called dispatch to report two individuals walking around parked cars in the area before returning to the same sedan.
Officers returned to find the vehicle parked outside 6528 21st Avenue with the driver’s window partially down. Lott was in the driver’s seat with another occupant in the passenger seat, both seats reclined far back. An officer reportedly smelled a strong odor of marijuana and asked Lott to roll down his window, but Lott allegedly refused.
The officer then opened the driver’s door, detained Lott, and found a baggie of green leafy substance along with approximately $250 in his pocket, according to the complaint.
Over 80 Grams of Marijuana Found
A search of the car allegedly uncovered three individually packaged bags of marijuana under the driver’s seat. The total weight of the marijuana seized was approximately 82.8 grams. Police say the packaging and quantity were consistent with drug distribution, not personal use.
If convicted, Lott faces up to 3 years and 6 months in prison and a $10,000 fine. His driving privileges could also be suspended for up to five years.

3 Oz could really go either way. Regardless, legalize it and unlicensed dealers will have to find something else to do.
The unlicensed dealers will have a field day, and will continue to do what they do. Due to the high taxes that ass clowns like Evers will ensure are put on pot, people will continue to buy from their current dealers. This is what is currently happening in every state that has legalized it, and as a result they are not selling as much as they thought they would as well as not bringing in as much tax money as they are increased social spending for the damage it’s doing.
Legalize it already! The drugs have won the war on drugs! How does this guy going to jail actually help society? Who actually cares about weed anymore? Legalize it so that nobody will get any with fentanyl in it and THC content can be limited.
Hardcore drugs like heroin, cocaine, and meth should still be prosecuted for trafficking, but individual use should be decriminalized and an intervention model should be adopted in its place. Despite the knowledge that some psychedelics and marijuana have legitimate medical uses, our politicians continue to practice proctology by seeing how far they can stick their heads up their own ass
I agree with you on hard drugs still being prosecuted and marijuana legalization. However, until the feds stop using marijuana as the baseline weight to standardize punishments for all controlled substances that will never happen. Marijuana is the backbone of their whole drug table and currently is a schedule I narcotic alongside heroin. Fentanyl though is a schedule II. Most people don’t know this. America needs to wake up.
Weed is a drug that alters a brains functionality period. It is a drug and is now genetically altered by human hands to enhance the effects. It should remain illegal. It kills brain cells and alters ones personality with some more than others. Saying tax money generated is a cop out.
I assume you’re also calling for the abolishment of alcohol as well?
I’m sure that wine or vodka in the fridge is just great though.
Legalize it, but throw this guy in jail anyways because it would be funny.
The down thumbs are from stoners who meant to push thumbs up but too stoned to realize.
I assume you are a stoner and for legalizing shoots and oth mind altering drugs?
So does alcohol! Your point?
You are correct so why would you want to make the other legal too???? Two wrongs ??? Fix the laws on alcohol!
Drunk drivers blow thru stop signs and stoners will wait til the sign turns green…
Yea let’s compound our problems…
LMAO the losers who want to legalize it make me laugh 😂
Good luck ‘tards, you’ll never make it in life hahaha
