KENOSHA, Wis. — Authorities have confirmed that a 7-year-old girl has now died following the late-night fire that tore through a multi-family apartment building in the 5200 block of 43rd Avenue on Thursday night, bringing the death toll to three siblings from the same family.

The Kenosha Police Department and Kenosha Fire Department originally responded at approximately 10:39 p.m. and found the building heavily involved in flames. A 10-year-old boy and his 9-year-old brother were pronounced dead shortly after the fire was brought under control. Their 7-year-old sister, who was flown by Flight for Life with life-threatening injuries, has now also passed away.
Their father continues to be treated at a local hospital for smoke inhalation, according to officials.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Disaster Response Team was called to the scene Thursday night to assist displaced families, and investigators continued working through the overnight hours.

Kenosha Police and Fire officials note they are currently fielding a high volume of media inquiries, but because the investigation is still in its early stages, no additional information will be released at this time. Authorities will provide further updates as they become available.
Anyone with information related to the fire is urged to contact Detective Marty Howard at 262-605-5284 or Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333.
