BRISTOL, Wis. — Lawrence D. Griffin Jr., 54, of Gurnee, Illinois, was charged Thursday with four felonies after prosecutors say he led Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a dangerous high-speed pursuit through the Village of Bristol and onto I-94, reaching approximately 119 mph while weaving through traffic and repeatedly driving into oncoming lanes. Griffin faces felony fleeing or eluding an officer, first-degree recklessly endangering safety and two counts of second-degree recklessly endangering safety. Combined, the charges carry a maximum possible sentence of 38½ years in prison and $85,000 in fines.
