Pleasant Prairie resident and County Board Supervisor Amanda Nedweski (R) easily defeated her democratic opponent Tuesday night for the 61st Assembly District. She won by an almost 2-1 margin. When asked by KCE what she attributes the big win to, the answer came easily, “Listening to people,” said Nedweski. She told KCE that the top three issues she wants to work on right away are accountability in public schools, economic responsibility, and public safety. Nedweski plans to remain on the county board like others have done in Kenosha County. “I’m fortunate to live only a couple of hours from the state capitol. It’s very manageable to come home every day. Not everyone in the Assembly lives as close to Madison as I do. I like staying busy. It’s important to have the double prospective. It’s an advantage to be able to serve the people of Kenosha County and the people of the 61st assembly district. I will never stop reaching across the aisle and finding common ground.” Nedweski will also be keeping her position as co-chair of “Mom’s for Liberty,” a conservative public school advocate organization.

  1. Congratulations. I hope she does a better job that the predecessor. One reason for supporting Samantha for county executive was to maybe get someone in the legislature who will do more than just get her picture taken everywhere.

  2. She will be balls to the wall and demand Kenosha be a bastion of freedom. IMO. Identifying our God given freedoms is the correct thing for her to support the people of Kenosha. She has a big political career ahead of her. Jesus is King.
