Day 10 of Mark Jensen’s re-trial for the 1998 anti-freeze murder of his wife Julie occurred today. Jail house snitch and conman, Aaron Dillard was still on the stand and he was cross-examined. The defense was able to illustrate a man who had manipulated people his whole life the the benefit of him and at the detriment of others. He ruined many lives.

Julie’s younger brother, Paul Griffin took the stand for some emotional testimony. He spoke of Julie’s sweet and caring personality. She offered to be a surrogate for Paul and his wife, who had trouble getting pregnant. He said that he was called on the day Julie died and went straight to her house. The police wouldn’t let him in so he went to Mark’s parents’ home nearby. He testified that Mark’s reason for the death was a combination of prescriptions.

Today’s star witness was David Thompson, a career violent criminal. At the time of Jensen’s first trial, he was facing very serious federal charges for armed robbery. He was in jail with Mark and testified that Jensen and him made a deal in which Thompson would “sit on” Edward Klub until the trial was over – either kill Klub or kidnap him. There was audio evidence from jail house phone calls between Mark and his parents that seemed to corroborate this story. There waa also audio from Thompson and his girlfriend that seemed too jibe as well. The defense attacked his credibility, which was easy.

Private investigator David Ellis, a former cop, testified that he was hired by the Jensens to surveil Mark’s vehicle in an attempt to learn who was placing the pornographic photos on his car. He testified that he thought Mark was the perpetrator. He only did 4 hours of surveillance, before the Jensen’s told him he wasn’t needed anymore.

Attorney Gretchen Rosenke, who was Aaron Dillard’s public defender at the time he was in the Kenosha County Jail, testified about the deal that Jambois offered for Dillard to testify against Jensen.

There was a hint in court today that the end of the State’s case is within sight.

  1. So, this whole trial consists of dick pics and drunken talk with coworkers. Sounds like a DA’s meeting about the Jensen trial strategy.

    1. I couldnt have said it better myself! Talk about 2 people that need to be investigated for corruption. They wanted the win at any cost. I can see that Jambois hasn’t changed one bit. He pulled one of his famous “I didn’t receive anything in writing from this witness” when trying to bring in the research that the female forensic pathologist was trying to read from her notes. OK Bobby Boy. B.S.! We all know she provided you with this info ahead of time. You knew exactly what to ask her. You gave the report back after taking your notes. That way you can deny it.
