Jury Unanimously Determined Statements Made By Kenosha Resident That Mathewson Trained His Children to Be Suicide Bombers, Threatened To Murder Military Veterans,  And Attempted To Kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer Were Vehemently False

Kevin Mathewson, Editor of the Kenosha County Eye and Former Kenosha Alderman, received a mixed verdict from a jury on Thursday afternoon. The decision came following a four day defamation jury trial in Kenosha County Circuit Court. Kenosha resident and one time failed candidate for Alderman and BLM activist, Raymond Roberts, accused Mathewson of training his children to be suicide bombers for the purpose of blowing up their school, threatening to murder military veterans, and being involved in the kidnapping plot of Governor Whitmer of Michigan – all on Facebook and through emails. The jury determined that all of the accusations were in fact made, and were in fact untrue, and not even substantially true.

Unfortunately for Mathewson, however, the jury decided that the statements didn’t harm Mathewson’s reputation. Two jurors did agree that Mathewson’s reputation was harmed, but Mathewson needed ten jurors to agree in order to succeed for that question.

Evidence was presented in trial about Roberts’ two OWI convictions and two child neglect convictions he received after beating his who children with belt buckles. The jury didn’t hear about his arrest of being drunk while carrying a gun or how he was stripped of custody and placement of his two children from a previous wife for the severe beating.

“I can’t say for sure, but I believe that the jurors didn’t think that an unhinged criminal like Roberts was believed by the community when he made these outlandish and grotesque allegations. At the end of the day, it’s hard to prove reputational harm. How can I prove that statements from a deranged madman directly affected my reputation with the people that follow Roberts on social media? The radical-minded people that support him were the only ones to see his posts,” said Mathewson.

“It is an almost insurmountable task to collect monetary damages in a defamation case, even when the jury unanimously agrees that the defamatory statements were false, like what happened in this case,” said Mathewson’s Attorney, Xavier Solis.

“I would like to thank God, my family, my friends, and especially my attorneys, Xavier Solis and Eric Olson, for getting these verdicts. I didn’t get the $5 that I asked for, but I was vindicated by a jury of my peers, after all of the evidence was heard, and declaring that I didn’t do these evil things that were alleged of me. I wasn’t in this for the five bucks, I was in it to clear my name with regards to the public ramblings of a dangerous criminal. My attorneys and I accomplished this task and I’m so thankful to the jury,” said Mathewson.

“I walked out of the courthouse today with my head held high. The citizens of Kenosha County now know the truth about this evil man’s allegations. I also learned that this man is so irrelevant, and that his online commentary and opinions aren’t taken seriously, and have no effect on people’s opinions.” said Mathewson.

  1. BRAVO!!
Now onto the defamation and slander being spewed in the libtard media in Salem “safety lakes” about business owners. There is a real hit list and a shadow government and undermining attempt by the staff to stop the change that was voted for by the people. The largest margin of victory in a municipal election in state history.
The cover up is always worse than the crime and please keep digging Kevin! Congrats on the WIN and keep holding these unelected, non risk taking, punch drunk, power hungry crooks accountable to the people. They work for us, we do not obey their version of their “make it up as we go” laws.

  2. Think the Salem peeps are running with this. Sure cannot stop complaining about what was said about them and it was nothing like what this Robert’s guy said. But they congratulated him. They are proud of him. That saying those that scream the loudest comes to mind, again.

  3. Hi Ray! Looks like the jury said what we all knew already. It didn’t matter if Andrew and Kennedy drive testified on your behalf. You still lost. Loser! Make America Great Again…

    1. Mr. Roberts didn’t lost. He won! It was a defamation case. The jury found that Mr. Roberts did not defamed Mr. Mathewson in the five counts that were brought against Mr. Roberts. Also, Mr. Mathewson was awarded zero dollars, and instead now has to pay costs of the trail, including Mr. Roberts legal fees, which Mr. Roberts have indicated are around $100,000.00

      1. 1,000,000 ? Wow! These BLM used toilet papers seem to have expensive attorneys! I wonder where they get the funds from

        1. Real shocker Chad Kerkman didn’t step up to the plate and defend GI Joe – Ray. Kerkman and Berg are “brothers.” Oh man, looking at the gallery of friends he brought with him, one would think he was a drug dealer from Twin lakes that was just sent home to be with Jesus. Shit heads follow other shit heads.

      2. This is the United States of America where each party has to pay their own legal fees. If this had been the United Kingdom, the loser pays the winner’s fees. In this case though it was a split verdict.

The jury should have awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars to the kids.

  5. I just wonder what the point of this lawsuit even was? It was poor planning on Kevin’s part or whoever was advising him.

No sane person actually believed Roberts comments and, even more so, Roberts is a fucking nobody in this city anyways. No one cares what he has to say.

So what did this accomplish? Kevin had to out himself for making fake accounts (which, who cares….but it doesn’t look good for a journalist to do that). He had the bizarre situation with Rose where he fired him or whatever the story was there….and this is on the heels of Kevin backing Nudo and Kerkman very confidently…only for them to basically embarrass him due to how bad they’ve been at their jobs.

Just not a good look, dude…..let the petty shit from nobodies like Roberts go….some stuff is so ridiculous that it doesn’t deserve a response. Stop playing loyalties with shitty people, too….it had burned you several times.

Also, I don’t know why people like Kmiec and etc. are rejoicing….nothing about this trial is relevant to the fact their son is going to likely end up in prison or dead. It doesn’t make any of these other clowns stories any less true. Santos, Kmiec, Sharmai Davis, the Salem people, just pieces of shit and nothing in this defamation trial changed that.

      1. I am talking about the Sabrina thing…..

I just didn’t feel the potential affects of a victory here were going to outweigh the negative effects from a potential loss.

Also, what was up with your attorneys? The court record seemed to show one of these guys (Olson or Solis) was late every day…was this due to scheduling conflicts or were they just late?

      2. Connie K. and hubby said you admitted to having fake accounts in court. The hubby is getting the transcript fir his investigation he says. Connie K even said you attacked her via a fake account, kind of like when hubby accused you of secretly recording him via his very own camera sitting in his house.

      3. You should take them to court for lying under oath!! Show those two Army wannabe’s what your all about Kevin!!

        1
        2
    1. I have to agree with you. Whoever told Kevin to file for defamation was maybe too ambitious. Once attorney Rose withdrew, because he was not fired, Attorney Solis did a great job given the circumstances.
Better filing for defamation than going out with a nuce, though

      2
      1
  6. I was thinking about getting a loudspeaker and a bunch of white people and white lives matter sympathizers in front of the courthouse and blaring pro white / racist comments on the steps of the courthouse to make a spectacle of the situation while intimidating the jury. Dave Beth could have showed up and taken a knee and brought coffee and doughnuts for all of us “crackers” to make peace.

We could have had a news crew follow a juror home too as a way to further intimidate.

    8
    6
  7. WOW! This says a whole lot about those demonrats who sided with Roberts! Shame on them to let politics determine truth. They all belong behind bars. I sure wish Roberts would have been found guilty of defamation–i believe that is exactly what happened. I am glad though Kevin that you did win in court. Keep up the great work

    1. You’ve overdosed on the Fool-Aid. Slow down. And a reminder, have you sent your monthly check to traitor Trump? He’s down to his last 5 billion.

      4

  8. Radical Raymond Roberts will lead people into a dead end. Unfortunate that he doesn’t use his mouth for true good instead of ranting and raving. His ‘poor me’ stance on life is depressing. He could accomplish so much for the people if he would see how the democrats have their fist on the scale against him. I wonder why he doesn’t live in the Madison or Milwaukee strongholds of liberal perfection where he could truly enjoy the benefits brought by sanctuary cities and handouts?

    8
    3
  9. Welcome to Kenosha, DC, where Reprobate Mind Liberals rule and don’t even know how to protect their own city from Rioters, Arsonists, and Looters but would rather choose a DA who is a Poster Child for Lawlessness. Where, when it comes to elections, too many citizens have no burden or desire within themselves to pursue good over evil, have no ability to discern lawfulness over lawlessness, have no respect for the rights of others and simply don’t care. There’s an indescribable stench of rot and decay here, and a Conservative will never get a fair trial in sewer city of Kenosha DC.

    5
    4
  10. Wait, so I’m here that KM & RR both won… someone make this make sense. Is KM paying RR attorney fees or is RR paying KM attorney fees? That will tell me who “won”.

    3
    1
      1. but it was found that RR did not defame you? I guess my confusion is if the comments were not true, wouldn’t that mean you were defamed? Genuinely trying to understand.

        3
        1
          1. I get it. There is no possible way you could have proven this. None of his supporters would ever admit they thought less of you as that would go against what RR was trying to “prove”. I don’t understand why this man has it out for you so bad. B/c you expose his people? Does the truth hurt? Them brining your wife and kids into this AGAIN, after court, tells me all I need to know about the man.

            6
            4
      2. So help me understand this. You took him to court. You both incurred court fees and attorney fees. If you didn’t win, he is stuck paying for an attorney which he never should have needed? That doesn’t match up.

        1. No difference than a divorce case, where one of spouses continues to file false allegations after the divorce is final, and you need an attorney to defend yourself. Kenosha is a circus. They don’t hold anyone accountable

          1
          1
  11. Seeing that the jury found that his reputation wasn’t harmed should give Mathewson pause. It says that everything Roberts said did nothing to lessen the public opinion of Mathewson, which may indicate that no one can think less of him than they already do.

    11
    62
    1. If the same statements were made by someone with even an ounce of character, Mathewson’s reputation would have been harmed. I guess if Jeffrey Epstein, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy or Jeffery Dahmer would have said the same things about Mathewson, a jury would not have awarded him damages either.

      9
      1
    2. Or it simply said the remarks were so outrageous, no one could belive the person spewing them. The person spewing them was not of a moral caliber to be believed.

      4
      2
  12. What can you say about Ray Roberts that has not already been said ? I had a brief encounter with him a couple of years ago in a downtown bar. Ray was telling everyone in ear shot what a big time war hero he was and accepting all the free drinks people would send him for his service. He claimed to be a former Army Ranger and held a very top secret clearance due to the kinds of missions he was on fighting the bad guys. I spent 10 years with 5th Specials force group (Airborne), and I was with a friend also a vet 26th Infantry. So we began to ask questions of Mr. Roberts in front of his new found friends. Of course he failed every answer and ducked has many has possible (could not answer due to classified information !).
all in all we exposed him to be the poser that he was. So I guess by the turn out in court by the Elite Democrats in support of Mr. Roberts they condone his behavior and accept him to be truly one of the own. Makes you wonder about the moral compass of the Alderman who supports him. But then again you get what you for for.

    12
    3
    1. Use to work with someone that knew him. Said he flunked outta airborne. I don’t know ray or Kevin but who knows what’s real

      3
      3
  13. I’m very sorry that you and your family were defamed and slandered, in my opinion.

One note, when you only seek 5.00 it makes people think you don’t feel pain, suffering nor financial harm.

You must go for higher awards!
You need to inflict financial pain and responsibility to the thugs (and weaponized Democrats) that continue to get away with 99% of evil acts towards you and conservatives that work for good and tell the truth.

Plenty of people look at Facebook that don’t have Facebook accounts.
For the jury to “read” everyone’s mind is a joke.

It’s heartbreaking to watch Kenosha going further into the swamps septic tank of sludge!

    *IMO, allegedly ???

    5
    4
  14. Shake this off and get ready to fight the county. Kerkman is as big a disaster as Raymond Roberts, but she’s got an unchecked pocketbook for legal expenses.

    4
    2
  15. You must be over the target. I think the Satan worshipers are out to get you for exposing their evil deeds.

  16. Roberts showed his true colors by attending a county commission meeting to complain about nothing, be a nuisance, and further slow county government. The meeting was 3-4 hours after the verdict. Solis is the commission chairperson and Berg is also on the commission.

Roberts was there to harass Solis. The Kenosha News web page has the video of Roberts being a worthless citizen and contributing less than zero to intent of the meeting.

Berg and Kennedy are examples of the disfunction in Kenosha government.

Their districts, basically the same geography of the city, have been spirally the drain for years. It is everyone’s fault their districts’ are struggling and let’s take money/resources from districts paying higher taxes and throw money into their district. Basically throwing money away.

  18. Raymond Roberts is a puffed-up, arrogant cult leader with literally zero credibility. To the keen eye, he comes across as paranoid, deranged, and he seems to over-estimate his own value in the community, and with his slickly packaged ‘words’, he gets his 1,500 asinine, duped sheep minions to all clap, cheer, parrot, post and re-post all of his hype, propaganda and unfounded ramblings across social media as they gleefully drink-up the Ray Kool-Aid to validate their lives. It’s pathetic. Ray even stated himself that a desperate man is a dangerous man. He couldn’t have described his own insecure, irrelavant self any better. I’m convinced he somehow, subconsciously is unhappy with his own self. Sadly, everyone in the Kenosha community worthy of the brain in their head all laugh at him behind his back and view him as Kenosha’s version of Alex Jones. ‘Nuff said. Let’s all move on now. Let the big mouths all stand on top of the hill and continue to blow more insignificant hot air out of their mouths.

    2
    1
    1. @Really – Ray talks a lot of sh-*t. He’s blowing more hot air out of his ass on FB to his army of duped woke sheep about he’s going to ‘bankrupt’ Mathewson and go after all of his assets, his wife’s retirement fund, his house, his car, his dog and even Mathewson’s underwear. The guy’s an ex-criminal crackpot who butchers songs on the bass cello.
