TWIN LAKES, Wis. — Twin Lakes Fire/Rescue will lead a large-scale emergency response drill this Sunday, simulating a major school bus crash to test and enhance readiness across multiple agencies.
The training exercise, scheduled for August 3, will involve a mock collision between a school bus and farm equipment. Held at Randall Fire Station 2 and Thelen Farm along 336th Avenue, the full-scale drill will include live extrication scenarios, giving firefighters the chance to practice removing victims under realistic conditions.
Agencies participating in the coordinated response include departments from Twin Lakes, Randall, Wheatland, Richmond, Salem Lakes, Bristol, the Kenosha County Hazmat Team, and Flight for Life.
The public and press are invited, with the exercise set to begin at 9 a.m. and a Flight for Life helicopter demonstration scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
Organizers say the event will highlight the region’s emergency preparedness and interagency cooperation. For more information, contact Twin Lakes Fire/Rescue Secretary Justin Ball at 217-883-7907 or secretary@twinlakesfire.com.

The Sheriff has the Mobile Command unit (aptly named “Vacation Pay”) out back of the PSB getting gussied up. He must be planning to watch in comfort.
good job Twin Lakes – just look at the news around the country – happy to see the agency collaboration around the county and our border neighbors…
