Wisconsin corporate filings obtained by Kenosha County Eye reveal a Madison-based developer is behind the company that owns the option for the 60-acres of land the Menominee want to put their casino on. The involvement and role of Robert Dunn, the Madison developer, in the casino project has not been part of the casino presentations to local officials and the public since the casino project was announced 18 months ago.
In July 2022, a Wisconsin limited liability company named “Kenosha Landco, LLC” entered into an Option Agreement with the Community Development Authority of the Village of Bristol to purchase the sixty acres for the casino development. Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) corporate filings show Kenosha Landco, LLC is an entity organized on November 20, 2018, by Robert Dunn of 10 W Mifflin Street, Suite 400, Madison, WI 53703. Robert Dunn is a Madison-based real estate developer, president of Landmark Development and co-managing partner in Standrock Partners, an entity focused on waterpark adventure themed resorts.[1] [2]
In a December 1, 2021, DFI filing, Kenosha Landco, LLC changed its registered agent and listed its new principal office as 5701 Stirling Road, Davie, FL 33314. This is the address of Hard Rock International, Inc.[4] Robert Dunn continues to be listed as the manager of Kenosha Landco, LLC.
Dunn is no a stranger to the Florida based Seminole Tribe who owns Hard Rock. He teamed up with the Hard Rock in their failed attempt to develop a downtown Chicago casino with 3,000-slots, a 3,500-seat entertainment venue, a 500-key hotel, eight restaurants, six lounges and 166 table games near Soldier Field.[3]
The failure of the casino promoters to disclose Dunn’s interest and role in the project comes as the County Executive and some County supervisors are anxiously wanting to approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) deal between the Menominee and County on January 16. However, at least one Supervisor is not in a rush and whose instincts about casino deals might be proving to be true. Supervisor Monica Yuhas told the Village of Pleasant Prairie Board in December, “What happens if it’s someone who probably isn’t the best investor to be in business with and that IGA is signed?” Yuhas said. “Let’s pump the brakes a little bit, let’s do our due diligence.” (Kenosha News, December 12, 2023)

This casino deal much dirtier than we know. Every single alderman who supported it is only looking out for the interests of the corrupt Kenosha power structure. There is a reason for the lack of transparency and the rush to get all this approved. Kenosha citizens should be disgusted and vote out every elected official who supported the Kenosha mob instead of the Kenosha people.
The casino deal stinks in so many ways, and our politicians are either too dumb to know it or part of the corruption – or both! The secrecy / behind closed doors meetings and refusal to share all of their plans = taxpayers will get screwed. Are there any honorable politicians anymore? Kenosha does not need an ugly box of slots. The politicians who claim to be conservative have sold out the community to an Indian tribe who will take 60 acres of prime real estate so prostitution and other nasty crimes can flourish. Kerkman, Nudo, Bogdala and the rest of the so-called republicans need to be voted out of office as they can’t be trusted.

The County Board meeting is tomorrow, January 16th, at 7:30 pm at 1010-56th Street. Arrive 15 minutes early. You do not have to sign up to speak. I’ve already spoken to my district rep. and asked him to vote no on the casino. He is in agreement that the casino is a bad idea for Kenosha but I’m still going to show how serious I am about this.
I’d like to know who got paid off to make all this happen.

Kenosha Landco has a registered agent called CT Corporation Systems which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wolters Kluwer N.V. a Dutch IT company. All these shell corporations ought to be a red flag. And it would appear the tribe would be leasing the land building and all from Landco. Interesting. Wouldn’t shock me if Madistan politicians are involved somehow.
I have lived in the area for 7 years, where they plan to build this, for years there had been rumors of a water park being placed there. Now for the last 18 months the rumor had been a casino. Mere blocks from that site, hotels that arent worth anything have been bought out for millions of dollars by people who live and work in Illinois. It’s in the public records of the property transfer. Something is wrong with this deal, prices are being raised on the people who live and rent in that area. I’m not sure who is responsible but this definitely is bad for Kenosha’s citizens

Wisconsin is Originally Menominee Land. Menominee Reservation is one of the poorest places in Wisconsin. The hypocrisy of you people is appalling. Such selfishness is extremely unbecoming of you. Sunday Christians I think is term I’m looking for.
Joseph, Wisconsin has been home to many native people beside the Menominee. Ex. Ho-Chunk (Winnebago), Dakota (Eastern Sioux), Ojibwe (Chippewa), Sauk, Meskwaki (Fox), Potawatomi, Mascouten, Kickapoo, Ottawa. I don’t find the Florida Seminole/ Hard Rock in Wisconsin until they want to make money at other peoples expense. Just because someone is poor doesn’t make the politicians actions correct.
