Conservative Mayor, County Executive, Celebrate Gay Pride Month To Appease Liberals: Opinion

Kenosha County Executive, Samantha Kerkman (R) and Kenosha Mayor, David Bogdala (R), are both Republicans. Kerkman was an elected Republican for decades in the state assembly and Bogdala once held a powerful position with the Republican Party of Kenosha County – being a life-long republican. Since being elected, though, they don’t always act like Republicans.

This past Saturday, June 1, 2024, signified the first day of “gay pride month” – a whole month to celebrate sexuality. Governments, local, state, and national – small , medium and large, take the time to virtue signal with posts on social media and speeches celebrating… well someone’s sexual preference – which genitalia they prefer.

Both the City of Kenosha, and the County of Kenosha’s governments celebrated the liberal-created month-long event, despite their leaders coming from strong conservative roots. The one thing stronger than Kerkman and Bogdala’s moral compases, ideals, and roots? Getting re-elected. They fly the flags and post away rainbow logos all over their social media accounts. Why? Because far-left groups like C.U.S.H. demand it.

In May of 2023, Kerkman signed an executive order that prohibited flying the gay pride flag. She took a lot of heat from the liberals. So now, she allows her staff to paint the County with rainbows. Same with Bogdala.

Although Kerkman is standing fast, for now, with the flag issue, she doesn’t want to intervene with her far-left department heads proudly displaying their political views on taxpayer funded computers.

Although Mayor Bogdala ignored the tough questions from KCE, Kerkman gave us a statement:

“The executive order that I made last year pertained specifically to the display of flags outdoors on county property, not to the use of logos on social media. Kenosha County Public Health displays alternate logos on social media at various times throughout the year, highlighting Black History Month, Independence Day and breast cancer awareness, as well as Pride Month. My previous order does not prohibit that from occurring.”

Conservative digital media developer and brand strategist Cody Adams took issue with the County posting the gay pride flag on social media, saying “This is tragic… God created humanity perfectly – as male and female – and said, be fruitful and multiply, but gave us a choice to obey His Law & Order for humanity…”

The Republican Party of Kenosha County Chair, Sandy Wiedmeyer disagrees with the new mayor ordering the gay pride flag to be flown saying,

“Advocacy group flags do not belong on municipal flag poles. This is a slippery slope. The American flag symbolizes national pride, and intends to evoke a sense of unity.  The American flag is a symbol for all Americans and is something that should unite and bring us all together. It does not highlight any particular group over another. It is the great unifier. Displaying advocacy flags along side it only serves to divide and separate. Bogdala did express that he felt the Pride flag should be displayed during Pride Month. While this is disappointing, it is not surprising.”

Agree with gay pride month or not, a virtue signal to placate someone’s sexual preference doesn’t need to be on display at government buildings or on a government internet page.

Would Bogdala or Kerkman allow the Gadsden flag, often associated with republicans, to be flown on flagpoles or displayed on social media? Not in a million years. Then why the silly rainbow flag? KCE doesn’t believe that a flag or symbol celebrating any type of sexuality is appropriate.

    1. The name for this is “useful idiots”. They think the marxists will like them if they play along. They will not. They will be tossed to the trash heap..

    2. That’s what politicians do. Term limits will help stop this. Just say “NO” to career politicians.

      1. Ok. But How ?
How many 2 year terms ?
How many 4 year terms ?
        How many 6 ?

And what about running and winning in a different office ?

Sam Kerkman was over 10 terms in Madison. Nobody voted her out ! Was that good or bad ?
Now she’s here. In what normally is a safe seat.
But does anyone think she’ll win again ?

Tommy Thompson was governor for how many terms. Was that good or bad ?

Terry Rose was in an alderman forever. Yet even he was voted out of office.

It’s the ballot box that holds your term limit idea !! If you don’t like someone and the job they are doing, then vote them out of office !!

It’s as Simple as that !

  1. This is an area of conflict for Republicans. Steve Gunderson, a Republican from Osseo, was perhaps the first openly gay Republican congressman. Lee Dreyfus was the governor who signed the law prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation. Senator Barry Goldwater, commenting on gays in the military, said that he didn’t care if soldiers were straight as long as they could shoot straight. Is your point that the gay pride flags and the like go too far? Steve certainly didn’t need one when he served in Madison or Washington.

    1. Vast majority of homosexual people aren’t gay by choice. Personally, I wonder if it’s some kind of genetic miscue or something and because of that I am not going to hold it against them. But should compassion, acceptance and anti-discrimination be elevated to celebration — particularly by public, taxpayer-funded entities????

      1. When you walk up to someone, do you ask how much money they make ? Probably not. But you might ask them what they do for a living. From that answer you could estimate their income. That is if you want to know.
When you walk up to a person, do you ask them what kind of sex they like ?
No, but some people let you know without asking. And if they want to put out a persona that exudes their sexuality, ok but I don’t care.
Why do we celebrate or even recognize ones sexuality. It’s really none of our business. But then they shove it in our faces ! Why ?
Believe me, most people’s gaydar is right most of the time. And when it isn’t, that’s usually because they don’t want you to know.

Government doesn’t need to or should spend one thin dime or even one minute catering to any specific group of people. As far as I’m concerned the only recognition the government aught to have of its people is citizen or non citizen. That’s it !

Government ! Get out of our bedrooms !!

      2. True. Being gay is a switch in the brain . However I don’t thinks gays realize how gross it is to heteros . I was raised in a regular church , Sunday School , all that . They never once mentioned it’s wrong to be gay . Our aversion to it pre-dates religion . It’s just weird . And the whole tranny thing ….. WEIRD . I’m not really transphobic ….. transnnoyed is a better word

        12
        5
        1. Some people think forcing religion on others is gross too.

Maybe people should worry more about themselves? Live and let live.

I have to put up with all the juvenile trump flags. Why not rainbows too.

          13
          19
          1. Voting for Trump doesn’t go against natural law. Homosexuality DOES. The whole purpose of sexual intercourse is reproduction. That’s it. Anything beyond that is extra; the root purpose of sexual intercourse is very simply to reproduce whatever species we’re talking about. Sexual intercourse where reproduction is a biological impossibility, LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE, goes against natural law.

Gay sex is like a monkey f*ing a zebra. No point, unnatural, and weird.

            11
            6
            1. Being gay is not a choice. I’m willing to bet that everyone knows someone who is gay, be it your family or friend.Stop the judgement and mind your own business.

              1. Intercourse IS a choice though. Just because one has same-sex attraction does not mean they must act on it. Chastity is always an option- and the responsible one.

Believe me- I firmly believe that what individuals do in their bedroom is their own business, however when they start flaunting unnatural sexual deviance around the community, in the form of rainbow/pride flags, festivals “celebrating” their sexual preferences, and exposing my children to their unnatural choices— it stops being private and starts becoming everyone’s business.

It’s not a matter of “judging,” either. The fact that main purpose for sexual intercourse is procreation is FACT, and there is a massive difference between sharing fact and passing judgment.

      3. I believe people are born straight or gay or bi.

It’s really not a choice, but a discovery. And by how they are brought up in a family determines how they accept it and deal with it positively or negatively. To this day there are men who are gay but start life getting married to women and have children but then decide they are unhappy. So they leave the marriage and discover their true happiness with another man. See it all the time.

It’s not something that anyone should be ashamed of. But at the same time it doesn’t necessarily need to be celebrated.

Do we have straight sex month?
        Or white pride month ?
Or White Entertainment Television (WET) that counters Black Entertainment Television (BET) ? No ! Because the majority (straight & white) have always had the most of everything. No need to accentuate it.

Are gay people a minority ? Yes. Are they discriminated against ? You bet !
But those things are separate from government sanctioned policies. Discrimination is ignorance that is taught in the home. By ignorant parents. But acceptance doesn’t require celebration. Education yes. But not government recognition.

        My opinion on gay marriage.
Why do you need to have a government recognized marriage ? There are no laws against living together. No laws against having children by artificial insemination. No laws against being an unmarried parent.

Gay marriage only serves to attach ones legal claims on the other. And most of those can be had with a lawyer and documents.

      4. What other sin should we celebrate? National murder month? How about national rape month or liars month. Perhaps a national have an affair month would be a good idea.

        20
        7
        1. Being gay is a sin? What about pedophiles? Is that a sin too?

Funny that the church is filled with closet gays as well as pedophiles. But when it’s religion, you want to hide it.

Too many “straight men” on here are projecting a bit too much. Hope no one finds out your secrets.

          7
          10
          1. Yes. They are sins, and one for sure should be punishable by death. Gay is a sin. So is pride. Shall I go on. Do some research

            6
            1
            1. With that thought process, what happens when one of your kids, siblings grandkid, nieces or nephews come out as being gay, will you disown them? Try to pray it away? Trust me with your mindset, I’m betting you have a family member / friends that are gay and just don’t know it. Stop being so judgmental and let others live their life.

          2. Being gay is not a sin. Sexual encounters outside of marriage is a sin. Real, actual marriage is reserved for a man and a woman.

So, the sin is not “being gay,” the sinful part is acting on those impulses.

Individuals who believe themselves to be gay are called to live a chaste life, just as all unmarried individuals.

            6
            1
          3. Yes, being gay is a sin. Yes, being a pedo is a sin. Yes, my jealousy of the person who got the better parking spot that me is a sin. We all sin, the problem with the gays is they don’t think it’s a sin, nor do they repent. To top off the lunacy, we’re to be forced to celebrate it. I call out truth in love as I see it just as I hope my neighbor would do the same to me.

            9

  2. Well whattabout the fetish flags ??? What about the bear flag? What about the twink flag ?? I looked it up , there are 26 flags signifying your perversions , all 26 flags need to be flown at all times 🤢🤮

    1. People are so tired of the RINO’S, and having God’s rainbow used in the wrong way. How about they put up Trump flags, God Wins, or a straite pride flag, and see how fast they change the flag rules. Just another way to divide us. We need to ban together and vote out the politicians who are doing stupid shit, and raising our taxes!

      1. Yep, we are outnumbered by clueless hate filled guys who hide behind religion so they can trash talk others.

The world will change and evolve without you. Don’t worry… we don’t care what you think. Keep bitching about everything and live in the past.

        10
        14
        1. Yes we do care what you think !!

You think that sexuality and its choices should be taught in schools. No it should not.

How baby’s are created and diseases are spread by sexual relations between a male and female. That’s biology. That’s all that needs to be taught in schools.
Anything else should be taught at home.

The problem is that parents today are lazy. They don’t know how or don’t care to teach their children about the birds and the bees.
          (gratuitous Boomer reference here)

So the schools then think that they should teach what parents don’t. Maybe ? But with permission.
Parents should be able to opt in for schools to teach or explain all the nuances of sex. Not have it forced upon children. Without parental consent.

Yes we care about homosexuality. But that doesn’t mean we should be “forced” to participate !!

          3
          1
    1. We just hate honoring sin. I’m anti-sin and pray everyday when I sin and I ask for forgiveness. You should try it- it’s a real life saver.

    2. They’re insecure and have trouble accepting anyone different than them. Many have had hidden attractions to men in the past, so they project their dislike for those who don’t hide it.

A hopeless bunch who will just continue their miserable lives.

  3. If you’re a good person I don’t care what your sexuality is.
If you’re a bad person I don’t care what your sexuality is.
Just stop shoving everything sexual down the throat of society please.
You want a parade have a parade but when half the participants are half naked in a public space in front of kids, that’s an issue.
You want to call me a bigot for that, well, that’s on you.

    26
    4
    1. The vast majority of gays do NOT push anything on you. They can have a parade just like everyone else can. They are equal.

If you don’t like it, look away. That’s what I do when I see people making their young kids hold religious signs they don’t understand or the stupid trump culters start barking their idiocy.

      5
      15
      1. Yep, I agree, the gay community CAN have a parade just like anyone else—that is not the issue. The issue is that parades celebrating pride almost always have half naked people prancing around in front of children. Drag queens twerking (sexual), topless trans men exposing their breast enhancements (sexual), men and women with bare asses showing (sexual)…why dress and behave like this when they know children are in the audience? A better question: why the fuck are parents bringing their children to these obvious adult-only events? And, I’m laughing because you’re comparing all that sexualized crap to a “child holding a religious symbol”?? Please.

        7
        2
        1. Have you ever heard of Carnival in Brazil? Lot of skin, lot of nakedness. It’s not what or what not someone is wearing. It’s how you think, how you understand things, and how you process information.

Sexuality in America is so taboo and oppressed, people now have the most emotional reactions to it. We should be teaching children, of a certain age, aspects of sexuality, if not for their health, for their protection. Hiding and shaming someone for thinking or talking of things of a sexual nature makes people believe they shouldn’t reveal their abuse for fear of ridicule.

This new age purity movement by religious zealots is both destructive to society and our relationships with each other. But most importantly, it makes our children more vulnerable to predators. The code of silence often used by abusers manifests itself in environments where expression and communication are surpressed, much like the idea of banning books and certain topics in education, if you don’t have the knowledge to confront a real-life situation, how else are you to respond but by submission.

Besides all that, same-sex attraction has been recorded throughout the history of mankind and throughout the animal kingdom. To say it is ungodly or unnatural, is clear denial of reality.

But I only have one question, why would God put the male G spot in the anus? It’s location is a physical fact, the response and pleasure a physiological certainly. Doctors refer to it as stimulating the prostate. Why would God do this? God made sex enjoyable and pleasurable, why would he make one of the most pleasurable experiences a male can undergo require stimulation by way of rectum?

          1
          5
  4. It’s GOTTA be something in the environment why there are so many soy boys, twinks, & sexless potato people these days . Amphibians, fish, and reptiles have the ability to change sex based on environmental triggers . Science has proven that man-made chemicals can cause this as well. Is it Roundup? Teflon? GMO sugar? We may never know . The hidden dangers of chemicals is bewildering—- look at the chick scientist who discovered DDT weakens bird eggs!!!!WHO WOULDA THUNK!!!!??????

    2

      1. I’m just fascinated why people are gay, pedos, serial killers, etc —- I guess I shudda been a wierdo scientist with a lab full of brains

      1. Sorry bub , I’ve been a slave to the hairy triangle literally since I was born ….. which means there HAS to be a gay gene or something…..

  5. In the long run, it all evens out. I am “represented” by a bunch of Democrat leaders who don’t agree with me on anything and are completely on affected by any conversations they have with me. They listen politely, just like people who not and smile over all the alphabet stuff that walks around screaming for attention.

    1
    3
  6. Meanwhile, at last night’s board meeting. The democrats on the county board voted to f*ck over every mid and low level county employee, in favor of dud directors, and they did this at a time when the county is seeing unprecedented turnover at nearly every level. Instead of making it very easy to deal with problem directors, they handed more power over to Tappa, the Queen of the Problem Directors.

    How incredibly inept & short-sighted.

    7
    3
  7. As long as it’s consenting adults who cares, do what you want, when you want, where you want, marry who you want: But, don’t throw it in my face. Stop making me celebrate something I don’t need to. Stop forcing it on our kids. You wanted to be equal, you’re equal. Making us celebrate for a month isn’t equal, it’s more. Now you’ve asked for too much, 6783920 different fake genders and fake pronouns. The whole gay pride movement is a joke that no one takes serious anymore.

    14
    3
    1. They aren’t throwing it in your face…. you just happen to be standing in the way.

Worry about yourself and leave other people alone. They can celebrate whatever they want and it’s none of your business.

Have you considered that you’re just a nosey boomer on the verge of dementia and no one cares what you think?

      4
      13
      1. Bullshit, completely. It is shoved in our faces, and not only during the month of June. Who gives a fuck what a person’s sexuality is? Americans don’t like to be force-fed ANYthing so simply stop vomiting rainbows everywhere! It’s quite simple. Just live your life.
Also, you are a Boomerphobe, you fucking ageist. Grow up.

      2. No. Government is taking my time and money participating in throwing it in my face !

Go ahead and have your Pride month.

Just don’t demand we fly your flag on government poles. Or in the case in this story, on government websites !!

As a government employee you check all biases and feelings at the door. You don’t participate or discriminate.
If you feel that’s wrong, then quit your government job and get off the taxpayers payroll !

        7
        1
  8. Not something to be proud of, that’s for sure! Maybe put the ‘puking’ emoji on the shame flag.

    7

  9. Hey, it’s a free country and maybe Kerkman and Bogdala are working up to announcing they are coming out–which is usually something politicians do around election time when they need some liberal votes.

    4
    6
  10. So when can WE THE PEOPLE expect to see the heterosexual flag flying on city flag poles ? The heterosexual pride symbol used on county and city websites ? Are these misguided heterosexual prople entitled to the same treatment from the local government ?
In order to cower to a group of less than 2% of the population speaks to the fear our elected officals have from standing on a moral compass and doing what they know they should do . Challenge to the City and County executives. Declare a Heterosexual pride month !! Lets see how far that goes !

    10
    4
  11. Come on guys, give it a rest. It does not affect you or me at all. Just move on. Let’s get past all of this “I dont like this other group, and my feelings are hurt”.

    4

    1. Yes, this drives me crazy. We call them snowflakes when they freak out about us celebrating our constitutional rights yet at the same time some of us act like snowflakes for this kind of stuff.

  12. It’s actually The Sacred Heart of Jesus month. These degenerates do it this month to shit on Christians.
    REPENT FAGGOTS

    11
    6
    1. Absolutely true. They did the same with their attempted appropriation of the rainbow. The rainbow always has been, currently IS, and will forever be, a Christian symbol—regardless of the demonic attempt by the sodomites to overtake this symbol.

      10
      2
  13. Voting for “Republicans” like Kerkman and Bogdala it would be like voting for Trump and having four years of Kamala and the Squad instead :(.
Funny, our demonized “Liberal” Clerk of Courts Matoska doesn’t have the flag of the rainbow warriors in front of the courthouse.
Perhaps we should learn how to do a better job when it is time to vote.

    1
    1
  14. Imagine needing an entire month to brag about the fact that you like having things rammed up your asshole, or having something other than a “P” stuck in your V-hole 😬

And then, calling that month, “Pride,” like you’ve achieved something, simply by being a sexual deviant.

    GROOOSSSSSSSSS.

    6
    2
  15. They aren’t conservatives. Republican these days only means democrat “lite” which is controlled opposition.

  16. Should have never let them get “married”. Look what we have now. You guys seen kusd lately? Kid fuckers everywhere wearing the rainbow. They’re chopping kids dicks/breast’s off. Bring back the mental institutions!
    PURGE DEGENERATES!

You think that sexuality and its choices should be taught in schools. No it should not.

  18. As a Republican and traditional conservative, I will defend the rights of people who turn my stomach. I have sympathy for people who are gay who can’t help their position in life any more than someone who was born without an arm or with Down’s syndrome. It’s not my place to stone them. But I can question using government resources to celebrate it.

    5
    2
  19. During the election he was a big democrat. Now hes a big republican? I cant find any record or source that states he held any position in the GOP.

  20. I only have one question, why would God put the male G spot in the anus? It’s location is a physical fact, the response and pleasure a physiological certainly. 24. Many are confused. Only about 4.5% of the US population identifies as gay/lesbian. There is no late amount of votes to be gotten. Worrying about CUSH or any of those liberal “Christian” protestant churches? Visit them on a Sunday. Not too many folks there. They are just loud. Stop pandering to these small, obnoxious groups. It’s one thing to do whatever you do behind closed doors, but now it’s done in the streets and brought into our schools. Children should be children. No one needs to celebrate any of this. Your “feelings” are your business and not anyone else’s problem. Keep it to yourself.

  25. Let’s stop voting for Republicans that once in office spend their tax payers time appeasing liberals. This Bogdala kissed each single arsch in town to win this election. Anyways, this is his first betrayal and hopefully his last one

  26. Flags began as banners being carried into war, so that each army could gather together in battle. So countries, states, cities, counties and branches of the military have flags to rally around. All are appropriately flown at government buildings, as they are the only ones that our representative government can ask people to identify with and defend. We add the POW/MIA flag out of respect. Consider the gay “pride” flag in that light. Is it appropriate to ask the general populace to identify with, rally behind and defend that flag? NO. Just as it is not appropriate to ask all the people of a city, state or the U.S. to rally behind the flag of any religion, political or social persuasion or preference.

  27. These two are absolutely disgusting pieces of sh*t!! NEVER BE FOOLED AGAIN that they are conservatives or that they care about us. THEY HATE US. All they want is power and money-that is it.
