The Kenosha DA’s office allowed Barnhill to plead guilty to only three counts of Unlawful Phone Use – Threaten Harm. Since his plea went through, the prosecutor on the case asked the judge to be allowed to change his recommendation from probation to jail. Judge Angelina Gabriele granted this request since Barnhill was recently charged with:

On August 15, 2024, Kenosha Police were summoned to the home of a former girlfriend of Barnhill for multiple crimes. The woman told police that Barnhill forced his way into her home without her consent and sexually assaulted her. Barnhill was drunk and told the woman “I’m daddy, and you know you want this.” He touched her inappropriately on her thigh. She retreated to her bedroom where Barnhill followed her into the bedroom and said “You know you want me.” He then pushed her onto her bed, which caused her pain. He then pinned her down, didn’t let her leave and severely sexually assaulted her in many serious manners that KCE won’t elaborate about. Barnhill then slapped the woman, again, causing her pain. She was then able to call 9-1-1. Barnhill left, but later returned while the police were at the woman’s home. Barnhill first told police he didn’t have sexual contact with the woman, but later changed his story and said there was sexual contact but it was consensual. Police suspected Barnhill was intoxicated when he drove up to the house.

On July 12, a former girlfriend of Barnhill called Kenosha Police to report multiple crimes. According to the woman, on June 21, 2024, Barnhill showed up at her house, uninvited at 1:30 in the morning very intoxicated. Barnhill immediately pinched her nipple, which caused her pain. When she asked why he did this, he responded by saying “because I can, I’m daddy.” Barnhill then began yelling at the woman calling her a “fucking cunt,” “lazy whore,” and “worthless gold digger.” The woman’s 15-year-old daughter told police she heard Barnhill call her mother a “cunt.” The woman offered to drive Barnhill home since he was drunk, but he then left on his own.

Kenosha County Assistant District Attorney Drew Lehman argued that the public would be safer if Barnhill was confined in jail for 180 days.

Judge Gabriele agreed with the state and said that she would have maxed out Barnhill regardless of the new allegations saying “You stalked [the victim] because she dared to break up with you… You threatened to kill her and others… I saw you shake your head and smirk when the prosecutor read to the court the victim impact statement…You made false allegations to the police about [the victim] and the police verified they were false… You are a danger to the public at large.”

Barnhill spoke and thanked his family for “their support.” Many people blamed his parents for bailing him out constantly from jail, and thus enabling future crimes. There has been much debate as to who kept bailing him out, his mom or his dad. KCE checked and they both did.

Gabriele then handed out a stiff penalty, nine months in jail and a $1,500 fine. Barnhill is still facing more than 100 years in prison for his other cases.

***This story has has been modified since its original publication. We originally stated that Barnhill received 60 days in jail and $1,000 in fines.***

  1. So this guy is charged with 4 felony charges and then is offered a plea for less than a year in jail?! What is with the Kenosha DA’s office? Are they allergic to keeping Kenosha County safe from drunken predators, pedo teachers, woman beaters, murderers, illegal aliens and the like? Someone please make it, make sense.

    1. This is why we need Xavier Solis as our DA. We need a conservative DA that would go after predators. Kyle Rittenhouse should have never been charged. Those that burned our city were not charged or got a slap on the wrist.

  2. Not that it’s her fault, but my first question is why retreat to a bedroom when someone is clearly in a nefarious mindset? Run the hell outside and call the cops.
Of course, all they’ll do now is a slap on the wrist.

    1. Have you ever been in a situation like this? I hope you never are. Perhaps she ran to the bedroom where her phone might have been to call the police since it was the middle of the night and she was in bed when he showed up and forced his way in. Know the facts before questioning an innocent woman’s actions.

      1. I ran upstairs to my bedroom to grab my phone to call 911, my doorbell rang once and I ignored it, I thought it was the TV because I fell asleep with the TV on. My doorbell rang the second time and I ignored it but Because my dog was barking I looked In the peep hole and saw No car or no one there. The third time the doorbell rang, I was at the top of my stairs so knew someone was there. My Teenage daughter was out of town visiting her father and I thought it was a group of teenagers probably dingdong ditching or trying to prank my daughter. I looked in the peep hole Again, and no one. That’s when I opened my door And looked through the storm door to get a better look. I was expecting to see a group of teenagers running down the block, However, from the side of my house came Jason Barnhill, and pushed Open the storm door and pushed his way in. I was trying to remain calm, but I knew I needed to go upstairs and get my phone because I knew I was in danger. I have everything recorded As I have indoor Security cameras. For those of you that were wondering why I retreated upstairs that is why. The cameras show him chasing after me, but I had no weapon. I had no way to protect myself. I needed to get my phone. I am extremely traumatized from this Entire ordeal and appreciate support Not People saying I ran upstairs while I had someone in my house that I didn’t want. It was 2:00 In the morning. I live alone alone In a house, not an apartment No one would’ve heard me because I did scream. Cameras have all of the footage all of the truth will come out in court.

        1. You do NOT have to justify any of your actions. No matter what you did, or did not do, Jason the creep should have never put you in this situation. Also, for the sake of this case and ensuring Barnhill gets what he deserves, please keep the details of the case off the internet. Would hate to see something you posted get twisted by his attorney and being introduced in his criminal case.

        2. Too bad you didn’t have a conceal and carry.
But you did what you could, you don’t need justify yourself.
But glad you did what you did, because now he’s starting to get the consequences of his actions. Hopefully he gets the maximum in the other charges.

  3. People need to purchase and train with weapons so that they can take care of these situations themselves. That is what society is stuck with when the appropriate authorities won’t do their job. Even if this scum didn’t die from the gunshots, at least we’d have the chance it would take him longer to heal than the amount of time he was sentenced with. POS scum needs to go down the garbage disposal.
