KENOSHA, Wis. – A Kenosha man appeared in court Tuesday to face charges in two separate domestic violence cases, including a felony count of victim intimidation and multiple counts of battery.

Markis T. Randle, 30, was charged Tuesday in Kenosha County Circuit Court in both cases. Bail was set at $1,000 in the felony case and $500 in the misdemeanor case. A preliminary hearing for both cases is scheduled for Aug. 14.
In the felony case, prosecutors allege Randle attacked a 26-year-old woman on March 6 after she refused to give him more money. According to the criminal complaint, Randle—who the victim knew only as “Block”—allegedly threw her around inside his SUV and took her cell phone when she said she was going to call police. The incident reportedly began after she paid for his gas at a BP station. The Kenosha Police Department later confirmed Randle’s identity through facial recognition and linked him to a vehicle seen in surveillance footage.
Randle is charged with felony intimidation of a victim, misdemeanor battery, and misdemeanor theft in that case.
In the second case, a newly amended complaint filed Tuesday charges Randle with two counts of battery and two counts of disorderly conduct, all as acts of domestic abuse. The complaint alleges that on both July 16 and July 27, Randle struck a 29-year-old woman during domestic disputes at their shared residence. On July 27, officers observed visible injuries to her head and face after she said Randle struck her with his cell phone during an argument.
The court dismissed two of the original misdemeanor charges earlier in the day due to drafting issues but reinstated them in the amended complaint.
Both cases are assigned to Branch 3, with Judge Heather Iverson presiding.
