KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. — Two out-of-state defendants accused of a string of smash-and-grab thefts across Kenosha County were charged Monday, with $10,000 warrants issued for each.
Tabitha Fallon Kane, 43, of Sandy, Utah, and Eriko Keionta Kyles, 39, of Fairburn, Georgia, each face 28 criminal counts, including multiple felonies for identity theft and misdemeanors for theft, entry into locked vehicles, and property damage.
Prosecutors allege that between May 30 and June 2, 2024, Kane and Kyles broke into vehicles in Paddock Lake and Somers, stealing purses, cash, identification cards, and bank checks. Authorities say the pair later attempted to use the stolen IDs and checks at financial institutions in Kenosha to fraudulently obtain money.
Investigators tied the suspects to a rented black Chevrolet Tahoe seen on surveillance footage at Petrifying Springs Park during several of the thefts. Witnesses reported the SUV’s occupants were checking car doors before multiple break-ins were discovered. According to investigators, the SUV had been rented by Kyles, who has an extensive criminal history and alleged ties to a group known as the “Felony Lane Gang,” which operates across the country using similar theft-and-fraud schemes.
If convicted of the top charge of identity theft, each defendant faces a maximum penalty of six years in prison and a $10,000 fine per count.
Neither defendant has appeared in court, and both remain wanted on $10,000 warrants.
