PADDOCK LAKE, Wis. — A Brighton man who was allegedly found hiding beneath a mattress inside a van at a McDonald's parking lot after a woman told deputies he had already left the area saw his felony bail jumping case dismissed Tuesday, apparently due to a clerical error in the criminal complaint. The dismissal appears to be temporary, however, and it's unknown if prosecutors are expected to refile the charges. Meanwhile, the woman who allegedly claimed he was gone now faces her own felony drug charges arising from the same encounter.
