RANDALL, Wis. — A serious two-vehicle crash in the Town of Randall on Sunday afternoon left multiple people injured, including a 45-year-old man who suffered critical injuries and was flown to a Milwaukee trauma center.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:17 p.m. in the 38500 block of County Highway F (87th Street), where Twin Lakes Fire/Rescue, the Town of Randall Fire Department, and the Town of Wheatland Fire Department responded after receiving reports of a two-vehicle collision.
When first responders arrived, they found one vehicle with extensive damage sitting in the roadway. A female patient was located in a nearby field, while a second vehicle had left the roadway and came to rest approximately 20 to 30 yards into a tree line. Initial reports indicated three people were inside one vehicle, while the second vehicle had a single occupant.
According to radio traffic, firefighters immediately recognized the severity of the crash, reporting the off-road vehicle had sustained major damage and requesting an additional ambulance while also asking dispatch to launch Flight for Life. Incident commanders established “Highway F Command” as crews worked to treat multiple patients and coordinate the emergency response.
The critically injured patient was identified over emergency radio traffic as a 45-year-old man. Firefighters established a landing zone at Town of Randall Fire Department Station 2, where Flight for Life landed to transport him to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee.
Ground ambulances from the Richmond Fire Protection District in Illinois and the Elkhorn Area Fire Department transported the remaining injured patients to Aurora Lakeland Medical Center. Fire officials said the critically injured man was airlifted in critical but stable condition.
Twin Lakes Fire/Rescue credited numerous agencies for assisting with the large-scale response, including the Town of Randall Fire Department, Town of Wheatland Fire Department, Richmond Fire Protection District, Elkhorn Area Fire Department, Flight for Life, the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office, Kenosha Joint Services Dispatch, and Twin Lakes Police Dispatch.
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved, and no additional information was immediately available.
