SALEM LAKES, Wis. — Wayne Allen Wenzel, 56, of Salem Lakes, was charged Tuesday after authorities say he punched his wife multiple times in the head, grabbed her by the hair and smashed her head into a steering wheel during a drunken argument Sunday night. Court Commissioner Daniel “Catch & Release” Kellum set only $850 cash bail during Wenzel’s initial appearance Tuesday afternoon.
