Multiple sources have told KCE that the Pleasant Prairie Postmaster has been placed on leave after he was seen being escorted out of the Pleasant Prairie Post Office by Federal Agents on Friday, September 9, 2022. One employee told us that the Postmaster is being suspected of theft from the office, with a value of more than $50,000. We called the Postmaster on his cell phone and told him about the allegations. He denied them and told us he was on vacation. According to our sources the United States Postal Service is taking huge steps to keep this quiet. One employee told us that senior staff had reported to employees that the Postmaster “retired.” We called the Post Office and spoke with a supervisor who told us that the postmaster was “on leave.” She then put us on hold briefly, came back to the phone and told us “he is not in the building today” and hung up on us. We then drove out to the Post Office and spoke to another manager. She told us that she couldn’t answer any questions and referred us to two men who are in charge of public relations for the Post Office. Minutes after KCE left the Post Office, a message went out to all mail truck saying “don’t talk to the media or answer any questions [about the postmaster].”

KCE Reached out to Desai Abdul-Razzaaq and George “Brian” Reeves with the Strategic Communications branch of USPS Corporate Communications. Neither would tell us anything about the investigation and referred us to the United States Office of the Inspector General. KCE heard back from Assistant Special Agent in Charge Kevin Cloninger who told us:

“As a matter of standard USPS OIG protocol, the USPS OIG does not confirm or refute information related to possible ongoing USPS OIG investigations, except in matters where details of the investigation become a matter of public record.”

The lack or transparency within the United Stated Postal Service is nothing new. Two years ago, a mail carrier for the Kenosha Post Office, Evan Quirk, was arrested and charged for theft. He was charged with stealing used panties from a mailbox on his route. The victim was a woman who sold used panties for money. Neither the Office nof the Inspector General nor George Reeves would give us information then either. The Kenosha Postmaster Mike Hall didn’t fire Quirk, who’s mother is reportedly a supervisor at the Post Office.

We spoke with Pleasant Prairie Police Chief David Smetana who told us :

“The Pleasant Prairie Police Department does not have a current investigation regarding the Post Office located in our jurisdiction.”

***Editors Note***
KCE isn’t naming the Pleasant Prairie Postmaster as he hasn’t been charged with a crime. This is a breaking story and we will follow up soon.

Carli McNeill’s Trial Record Examined – Abysmal At Best

Kenosha County Eye has heard from many defense attorneys that Carli McNeill (D) is a terrible trial prosecutor. She’s lost many serious cases at trial in front of a jury. In contrast to McNeill, Michael Graveley (D), the current DA, told KCE that he can only recall losing once or twice in his career, which is nearly three times longer than McNeill’s. Graveley is, objectively, a skilled trial prosecutor. He commands the courtroom and knows how

  1. Hmmm. I had a hold placed on my
Mail recently while I was out of town (10
Days). When the hold was lifted, I received 1 piece of mail. Pleasant Prairie post office claims they delivered everything, I know for a fact that there was mail that wasn’t delivered.

    1. It may surprise you to know that USPS takes a photo of nearly everything that is mailed. If you sign up for USPS Informed Delivery, they’ll send you an email with photos of what’s going to be delivered to your mailbox.
Is this a convenience or a sign that Big Brother is spying on you?

      1. If ever I have need of USPS (whatever dark hell of a day that looks like) I will absolutely force them to prove to me they’re taking care of it every step of the way. What other option is there to at least screw up the plans of the moron who gets caught? Only thing better would be if Mark Rober Package baited USPS with good old Glitterbomb 3.0 to make it not worth it.

  2. The government in Kenosha County is rotten to the core. This is what the Second Amendment is for: if the citizens were not armed, these people would impose tyranny in a heartbeat.

  3. OK, so did I fall asleep last night and wake up in Bizzaro World today? So someone stole used underwear. USED underwear. From a mailbox. Because it was sold and being mailed? Which means someone, likely not local, bought someone’s used underwear. And in another article I just read, a Kenosha cop got put on suspension for sharing a prescription, a non opiod medicine with someone who is also prescribed the same stuff, something I know my grandparents did, especially becuase they lived on a farm and going to town for refills wasn’t always practical, and probably a lot of married couples do too.

    1. So Evan not only stole her underwear he tried to pursue the women as well. She got understandably freaking out and called the police. The only reason Evan has a Job there still is because this happend during the Kenosha riots and the police decided his case was not of the highest priority which was true at the time but he needs to be fired now, that is disgusting. As a usps employee in Illinois I can tell you in confidence that the majority of us are decent hard working people. Hope this clears things up for you

  4. Dealt with the guy in question many times as a result of my occupation and he has always been a really good guy. Quite surprised to hear this….and would wait to make any judgment until more information comes out.

  5. Could it be possible that PP Postmaster is in hot water for telling someone higher up that he won’t comply with illegal USPS directives regarding mail in ballots for the upcoming election?
We have all seen the American GESTAPO hard at work recently violating Constitutional Rights.

    1. I would rather see a few misspelled words, or typos, than trust the K-Town fish wrapper for accurate and timely reports of wrong doings in the county. But I get it. He’s only one guy doing everything himself.

  6. Kenosha law enforcement dropped the charges in Evan’s case after not having any evidence to support their allegations – which is also why he is still employed. He also was never arrested. There was no search warrant or physical evidence to prove he stole anything. I know Evan. He is a great guy and doesn’t deserve anyone passing judgement on him. Can you imagine if a mailman was fired and prosecuted every time something went missing in the mail? Probably only happens a fraction of 1% of the time – but there would be nobody left to work there to deliver your goods. This publication will be lucky if Evan does not press charges for libel. It’s sad that there are so many factual errors in this article and previous publications. Evan’s case is the perfect example as to why nobody should judge anyone until they know all the facts – including the allegations being leveled against the postmaster. Evan did nothing criminal; only time will tell if the postmaster did.

    1. I don’t know how else to say this, but I think your friend lied to you. He admitted to doing these things and the text messages and emails, etc. were recovered. I just requested all of the evidence to this case and will be doing a follow-up story. You are incorrect. Sorry

  7. Why don’t you wait for him to be charged before publishing your story? Are you concerned you’ll be “scooped”? We all know that isn’t going to happen, so don’t stoop to the level of being a gossip rag.

  8. As much as I love with the Kenosha County eye is doing, I don’t understand what bringing the other stories in on one about a postmaster being walked out have to do with each other. Please please please stick to good journalism because with the vacuum of such in Kenosha you don’t need to be any kind of sensationalist to get the Public’s attention. Simply investigating and Reporting blows away any former newspapers we still may have limping along on oxygen from a tiny rental office situation

      1. If that comment was addressed to me, I don’t think the previous cases are newsworthy in the context of what this story is about. This story is obviously important and can and should stand on its own merit. The way this particular story was written, it’s like there was a car accident so you made sure you mentioned some completely unrelated car accident with names and dates as some kind of filler. Any business that employees as many people as a post office is bound to have some interesting stories and HR nightmares, but we don’t drag them all up when something else happens at a particular business unless it is clearly related. If you have evidence that this is all clearly related, that would probably have been a good thing to put in the story?

        1. I appreciated all the stories because it illustrates the secretive nature of the Post Office and a pattern of covering up crime, or at least not punishing it. It’s unbelievable the depravity people will sink to and disgusting it was swept under the rug.
As for the Post Master, I will withhold judgement as we all know, the FBI has done some shady stuff as of late. Keep exposing the truth Kevin. Keep ‘em honest!
