When a man is convicted of possessing child porn and the Judge and DA give him the minimum sentence, what is the worst that can happen? He could re-offend and shortly after being released from prison be charged with ten counts of possessing child porn, five counts of sex offender violation, 20 counts of possession of improvised explosives, and one count of possessing drug paraphernalia. This is of course a possible outcome, and that is what happened to 41-year-old Daniel D. Olszewski of Salem Lakes.
In 2013, the Racine County DA charged Olszewski with ten counts of possessing child porn and domestic abuse. The DA and Racine County Circuit Court Judge Timothy Boyle dismissed 8 of the 10 counts. Boyle sentenced Olszewski to only 3 years behind bars. The State of Wisconsin takes child porn very seriously. It imposes a minimum of three years in prison per charge. However, there is a loophole that progressive judges can take, they can run the sentences concurrently, instead of consecutively, meaning you could be convicted of 100 counts of child porn and serve all 100 three-years prison sentencing at the same time, that is only serving three years total. That is exactly what Racine Judge Timothy Boyle did. Olszewski only served three years. Shortly after his release from extended supervision in 2020, he would re-offend. Today, he was in court again.
According to the criminal complaint:
On September 23, 2022, a Kenosha Sheriff’s Detective received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. It had indicated that someone had uploaded images of child pornography in June of 2022. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the IP address and it came back to Olszewski’s home in Salem Lakes. The Wisconsin Attorney General’s Office, Department of Criminal Investigations joined the investigation. Investigators opined that Olszewski liked to look at underage girls that were of the same age and appearance of his young daughter. GPS and other data confirmed that the images were downloaded and shared by the defendant with email and Snap Chat.
The photos are described in the criminal complaint but KCE will not be providing further details. We stopped reading.
While the defendant’s home was being searched incident to a search warrant, police found a used marijuana bong and 20 improvised explosive devices in his bedroom.
Olszewski also is charged with violating his sex offender registration rules by not reporting his access to internet and email.
Olszewski faces a maximum of 406 years in the Wisconsin State Prison System.
Prosecutor Drew Lehman asked for a $150,000 cash bond due to the total prison exposure. Circuit court commissioner Loren “Larry” Keating, a former cop, doesn’t mess around with child porn allegations, and agreed and set that amount as bail.
Olszewski is due back in court on December 13, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. for a preliminary examination.

Much as I don’t like Keating (The outer perimiters of our social circles overlap and people I know that know him have all told me some pretty awful stuff) I got to admit here, he did right with a high cash bond. From what I understand, that means bail bondsmen are out. Go get ’em Keating. I would not mind being proven wrong here!
Hard to take someone seriously who can’t spell perimeter.
Or, somebody that doesn’t know that circles are more commonly identified by circumference. Not perimeter.
Fine. Circumference. That works too. Since a social circle is not a real shape anyway, I’d say it can be identified any way one likes.
Why is it that all of you are so petty and only criticize people’s comments! It’s no wonder the younger generation is so dysfunctional, they have no positive role models to show them what kindness looks like!
Kindness? Coming from OP’s comment that he has heard some “pretty awful stuff” about Keating (which is false) because the “perimeters” of social circles meet? Like WTF, it’s Kenosha…..everyone knows everyone.
Rather, this is why old people are irrelevant….they can’t spell and are dumb as fuck.
Their pettiness is a reflection of themselves and nothing more. Their attempts at being insulting are laughable at best, though pathetic might be a better word. I’ve never had to stand in front of Keating, I’ve met him once or twice socially, but if what I have been told is true, and I have no real reason to doubt my friends, then that is enough a reason to not like him. See, these young people have no sense of loyalty or duty to their friends. Glad I won’t likely be around long enough to see how badly they monkey up the world. Having said that, this time, I feel at least he has done well.
KM,
What are the “improvised explosives”?
‘Improvised explosives’ are basically homemade bombs. Unlike a military hand grenade that is a small bomb manufactured by an ordnance company.
Libs/Dems love pedos!
Pedo Peter in DC agrees!
