Judge Dismisses Federal Lawsuit Against Mathewson, Rittenhouse, and Facebook

Earlier today Federal Judge William E. Duffin dismissed the lawsuit that was filed on September 22, 2020, by multiple people, including the girlfriend of Anthony Huber, who perished while attacking Kyle. The lawsuit, which read more like a partisan press release, was dismissed with prejudice, meaning, it can never be refiled – it’s a permanent dismissal. The lawsuit was filed by Attorneys Jason Flores-Williams of Colorado and Jennifer Sirrine of Massachusetts. Both attorneys are far-left activists. They ended up splitting up after a feud that was all put into words on the record. The lawsuit can be read in its entirety here.

In this court document, which you can read in its entirety here, Attorney Sirrine makes some serious allegations about Attorney Flores-Williams. He only agreed to pay her $40/hour. Most attorneys make between $200 and $300 per house for private clients. Sirrine did some TV interviews and Flores-Williams didn’t want to pay her. The reason? According to Flores-Williams, “most of this is fun.” She then stated that Flores-Williams “is without the legal skill required to properly litigate this type of important, high profile case.”

She then basically accused Flores-Williams of being a nut job for:

-Suing the State of Colorado on behalf of the Colorado River.
-Appearing in “High Times” magazine
-Posing for pictures with a cigarette and half-empty bottle of tequila.

She brings up another instance where in 2017, the Attorney General of Colorado threatened to have Flores-Williams sanctioned and perhaps disbarred. Flores-Williams, according to the motion, has threatened to report Sirrine for similar misconduct allegations.

Sirrine was then kicked off the case. She found a new plaintiff, a man on the east coast that said Mathewson and Rittenhouse scared him away from traveling to the Midwest for work. That lawsuit can be read in its entirety here. While Sirrine was drafting this lawsuit, she tweeted this:

21st Century Law is Sirrine’s Law Firm

This lawsuit was dismissed on December 28, 2020.

This just goes to show you that an attorney can spend $400 to file a federal lawsuit, no matter how frivolous, and get coverage on TV. The media writes about the lawsuit and the general public read it like it is the outcome of the lawsuit without so much as a gavel being struck. It’s a product of something that we all do these days: read the headlines only. These attorneys know it, their clients know it and the media certainly knows it.

Terry Rose, Mathewson’s Kenosha Attorney, commented, “Everything my client did was protected by the First and Second Amendments. Today, justice was served.”

Mathewson stated afterwards, “I was never concerned about the lawsuit, as it was very partisan and full of mistruths that were easily debunked. I’m glad the Judges dismissed these two lawsuits in a timely manner.”
