(Kenosha Sheriff)
A concerned woman reported to Pleasant Prairie Police that her foster son was stealing things from her immediately after she took him into her home. She went into his room to look for the stolen items, but found a gun, instead. She didn’t know where Neal got the gun, but said that Kenosha Police found him in possession of ammunition recently and cited him for a fight.
The firearm was stolen from a local man, who was in court today. The firearm was reported stolen from the man’s vehicle about a week ago. The man lives in the same complex as Neal. Neal admitted to being in possession of the firearm at school and that it wasn’t his. Kenosha Police also investigated an incident where Neal made a weapons threat at his school, Hillcrest High.

“The court is aware that theses are concerning allegations, especially given the defendant’s reasoning for allegedly keeping a firearm for what he feels it would be needed it for at a school … The serious nature of the crime, [the court] has a duty to protect the safety of the community … I’m going to set the bond at $10,000.”
The felony charge of receiving a stolen firearm carries a maximum sentence of six years, and the misdemeanor charge of possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18 carries a maximum of nine months. Neal is due in court on April 28, 2023 for a preliminary hearing.

To clarify, was he caught with a firearm at school? Or while at school did he tell someone he had the firearm somewhere outside of school?
He was not caught with the firearm at school, however he did admit that he brought this gun to school
