Former Kenosha Fire-Fighter and EMT Kerry Poltrock II admitted under oath that he battered his then-wife. Racine’s progressive DA, Patricia Hanson gave Poltrock a break. She charged him with six counts of domestic violence, but dismissed them as a part of an agreement that she frequently does for first-responders. Poltrock was also investigated for molesting one or both of his daughters. A Kenosha Judge recently found the allegations credible although Hanson refused to charge him criminally. He was stripped of all custody and placement with his daughters.

Poltrock was suspended for the domestic violence and also for knowingly working as an EMT when his license was suspended. The City of Kenosha’s City Administrator, John Morrissey intervened in this matter and opened another investigation recently. According to Morrissey, the city intended to fire Poltrock. He chose, however to resign effective October 11, 2022.

Circuit Court Judges like David Wilk (D) can’t change the first amendment, no matter how much they hate it. It’s part of our great Constitution and there are many layers of the judiciary above the circuit coirt that work as checks and balances. That doesn’t mean that they can’t try, however. That’s exactly what David Wilk tried to do in an oral/written ruling from this past Monday. Let’s start with Judge Wilk’s beginning. Wilk attended Hamline

    1. This piece of shit adopted my daughter, she was supposed to be safe with him and he did this to her? What a MONSTER!!!!

  1. There are no heroes in this ugly situation. It took way too long and a story in the KCE to shame the City, and its fraudulently college degreed City Administrator John Morrissey, into doing what should have been done a long time ago. Maybe if Morrissey actually had a real college degree, he would have known to act in the best interests of the the citizens of Kenosha.

“Clowns to the left of me Jokers to the right. . .” As quoted in the Kenosha City Government Anthem.

  2. With over 20 years on the job Mr. Poltrock should have locked a full pension and likely can pursue other employment opportunities unless there is a possibility of some type of disability claim involved.

  3. Wow, so sad. What happened to women’s and girl’s rights? So much for protecting the people of Kenosha.

  4. What bothers me about these deals is that often there is no real resolution of guilt or innocence and we don’t know the full truth (if we ever do). Convenience but not necessarily justice.

  5. No need to bash the KFD board. These are some great guys who save lives every day. We are lucky to have them. You can’t expect them to comment on this when there were no criminal charges filed, imho.

  6. brenda i am sorry but because a person is not charged does not mean he did not do the crime. trained professionals came to the conclusion of sexual misconduct of minors. we cannot control what the system does to find justice …or not. this case went to the racine DA middle of riots. and why would they go after a first responder. member of the good old boys. that might make them look bad. in addition i an suspecting racine prob did not want to spend their tax payers money to work this case which they didn’t. despite all of it in the end justice for tis family was finally realized. thanks to the courage of mr Mathewson to practice true journalism unlike the Kenosha News and in the end Mr Morrissey also having the courage to stand up to a powerful union. one of the members for sure Mr Poltrocks close friend.
mr poltrock should never work with the public again. at some point maybe he will take responsibility for the terrible things he has done. all of this has shown the serious problems the city of kenosha has along with the racine DA. bordering on corrupt. time to clean things up

    1. i have to point out that Mr. Morrissey displayed no courage in how he dealt with this. He allowed this dangerous monster to continue to work long after Morrissey knew of what this guy did. Morrissey only acted after the KCE published a stunning article about the monster on the fire truck. Morrissey was then shamed into acting to go after the monster’s job. Had it not been for the KCE’s article, Morrissey would have continued with the status quo of concealment and inaction. Morrissey, the Mayor, and the Fire Chief are conniving cowards.
