The investigation into the death of an 89-year-old woman on December 19, 2022 is ongoing, according to Kenosha Police Lieutenant Joe Nosalik. “Anytime we have a death at a facility like this, and natural causes are ruled out, we conduct an investigation,” said Nosalik. The woman died as a result of weather exposure, but exactly how she got outside is seemingly under investigation. After a thorough investigation is completed, KPD will consult with the Kenosha County DA’s office to see if any criminal charges are warranted.
KCE has heard from insiders that at least two employees have “lawyered up.” KCE is aware of one such employee who is a 39-year-old woman who works at the facility as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) . She lives in Racine and has a minor criminal history and an open misdemeanor case in Racine. KCE isn’t naming her as she has neither been arrested or charged with a crime.

KCE was also told that the management at the facility was at first reluctant to call police out of fear of getting into trouble. We are also told there are alarms near the area where the woman was found, meant to stop incidents such as these.
We reached out to the facility many times and didn’t get a response. The organization has disallowed comments on their Facebook page and seem to be in full damage control mode. A woman by the name of Stephanie McGregor was and may still be the executive director.
