2. Aldean knew exactly what he was saying with this song, and that where he filmed the video would create what he wanted, publicity. He and his wife just make money off of the division in this Country, that is also what sickens me!

   1. Do you say the same about the songs that talk about harming people and police? Or wrong agenda? Or riots that called to hurt police? Sorry your hypocrisy is showing

      1. I would actually we have freedom of speech here and believe the song should be played if wanted to. It also doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be called out for what it is and for what he intended to say. He could have filmed this video anywhere but chose to where a lynching of a black person took place. His message is very clear.

            In partial defense, Aldean says he hasn’t read a book since high school and may not have known the historical significance of the courthouse.

            Much of the riot footage was shot in Montreal and Toronto.

            Funny he extolls the virtues of small town living in a place (Twin Lakes) which recently was ground zero for OD deaths.

         2. Try this, he lives very close to Columbia, TN and filmed it near his home as it is convenient to be near his family. Was it Hannah Montana that also had that courthouse in the background of the show? Did you get outraged then?

4. Haaaaa. Isn’t this rich… Twin Lakes and “try that in a small town?” That happened a couple years ago in Twin Lakes, with a mob and one guy in a pickup truck. Mob attacks one man and he defends himself (goodnight) drug dealers, so the whole town turns on said guy. Then after the conviction for first degree they had a party worth 5k with booze and all the fixens. Guess who got he bill…. That’s right the guy from try that in a small town…. You clowns amuse me.

8. I thought the left cries freedom of speech at every riot and protest. The mayor candidate koerri even cried that while harassing police the other night. Weird how it only goes one way huh? Kinda like some of the local “supervisors” at the last meeting and now he posts about the song. Can’t make this up huh
