The white-glove treatment of a Kenosha man continues. Yesterday, in the Kenosha County Courthouse, Trenton B. Kmiec was sentenced for three felony cases in Kenosha County. Kmiec was facing one count of Felony Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Felony Physical Abuse of a Child, Intimidation of a Victim, Obstructing an Officer, and (11) counts of Felony Bail Jumping.

Kmiec was facing a maximum sentence just shy of 75 years in prison. A Kenosha Judge yesterday jumped an overly-generous plea deal. “Jumping” is when a judge is stricter with sentencing than the joint recommendation suggests. The DA’s office decides the penalties in criminal cases more than 90% of the time.

In this case, Kenosha DA Mike Graveley gave the prosecution to the Racine County DA’s office. DDA Steenrod took the Kmiec cases, but told KCE after the hearing that the DA, Patricia Hanson made the decisions on this case.

In court Monday were Kmiec’s parents, Connie and Ted. Ted, a local attorney warmly greeted Steenrod before the trial, “hey Chris,” the lawyer told the prosecutor. “Hey Ted,” the prosecutor said back.

Steenrod agreed to dismiss most of the charges. All that remained, and were pled guilty to, were (4) counts of Felony Bail Jumping, Obstructing the Police, Disorderly Conduct, and Intimidating a Victim. Steenrod recommended time served and three years of probation. Judges Gerad Dougvillo gave Kmiec a long lecture and admitted that the public was only safe from Kmiec’s crimes while Kmiec was behind bars. Dougvillo gave Kmiec three years of probation and 212 days in jail. 90 days of that sentence remain.

Prior Criminal Convictions

Judge Dougvillo was told about Kmiec’s criminal past, but the prosecutor tried to conceal from the judge a pending criminal case in Fond du Lac.

Kmiec was found guilty of three felonies from Winnebago County – Possession w/Intent-Cocaine, More Than 5 Ounces, Felony Bail Jumping, and Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place. A liberal judge in Winnebago County gave Kmiec probation only – no jail or prison. Kmiec also has a pair of OWI’s.

Fond du Lac County Armed Pursuit

The most serious of Kmiec’s six felony cases spanning three counties, however, has yet to be decided.

On November 24, 2021, police and prosecutors say that Kmiec lead multiple police officers and agencies on a 25 minute long, 22 mile police chase while armed and under the influence of drugs. Kmiec refused to pull over for police and drove erratically at speeds up to 85 miles per hour. He endangered many people’s lives by swerving all over the road and narrowly missing innocent bystanders. At one point he swerved around stop sticks, was rammed by police, did a 360 degree spin, but continued to evade. Eventually, Kmiec flipped the car and crashed in a ditch. Police found a Glock 19 in his possession with an extended 30-round magazine in the car. A drug recognition expert determined that Kmiec was under the influence of stimulants. There were also empty bottles of Cyclobenzaprine and Tramadol in his upside down car. Kmiec also had two Buprenorphine narcotic patches on his body. Kmiec also had a powdery substance on his nostril. Kmiec was charged with (1) Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Use of a Dangerous Weapon, (2) Fleeing and Eluding – Causing Damage to Property, Use of a Dangerous Weapon, (3) Felony Criminal Damage to Property, Use of a Dangerous Weapon, (4) Possession of a Firearm While Intoxicated, and (5) OWI (2nd). One of the victims told police that Kmiec caused $8,000 in damage to his property. Believe it or not, Governor Evers (D) appointee, Judge Tricia Walker, gave Kmiec a no-cash bond. He was released without having to pay a cent. He is awaiting trial for this case.

Connie Kmiec
(Kenosha County Sheriff)

Before court on Monday, Connie Kmiec verbally accosted me in the presence of my 13-year-old son. If you want to use foul language towards me because I put your mugshot on my website, so be it, but not in front of my minor child. That’s when the line is crossed. She tried to intimidate me into not reporting on her multiple felon son. The entire interaction was captured on court-house surveillance. Her and her husband Ted asked for the Sheriff’s Department to arrest me for “disorderly conduct” for covering the story. The Sheriff’s Department politely declined to arrest me. Here is the video:

  1. Everyone in this story is a scumbag, with the exception of Steenrod. He’s the sucker who got assigned the case from the train wreck Racine DA.

  2. Guess we’ll have to wait until this reckless bastard actually kills someone. Then he’ll at least get taken off the streets for a month or two. Is there any kind of governing body that can be appealed to when the local authorities fail constantly to do their jobs? What’s left for the public to do, organize a friendly protest with torches and pitchforks, screaming for social justice? Any justice?

        1. He was facing 75 years in jail and got less than one year? I’d say he got “white, rabbit fur-lined glove” Justice.

  3. Like I wrote several days ago: people of Kenosha had better learn to vote conservative to replace these democrats in power whose goal it is to hold no one accountable for the crimes they commit. This soft on crime bullshit has turned Kenosha into Little Chicago.

    1. This is why labels don’t mean a damn thing. The judge here is/was a conservative.

There are some important pieces missing from the story. One is what was the judge’s explanation for the sentence? Another is whether the pre-sentence investigation recommended more or less than the prosecutor’s recommendation? And then why did this judge keep the case and not recuse himself?

DA Gravely gets beat up on a lot around here but this time he made the right call and sent the case outside of his office. I would think that the judges would have followed suit.

Kmiec isn’t the first and won’t the the last parent to have a kid get in trouble, especially with drugs. Some families have gone bankrupt as a result of trying to help kids like that and it still doesn’t work. Beyond that sympathy for Kmiec runs thin as he himself seems to be too close to the flame. Having said this, I don’t expect parents to abandon their kids and, as a lawyer, Kmiec can’t be faulted if, for example, he felt that his son’s rights were infringed or needs ignored. I get the sense that didn’t happen here. The younger Kmiec is obviously a crime wave unto himself.

Let’s keep the eye on the ball here. Mrs. Kmiec’s purported potty mouth is chump change compared to the threat her son poses to himself and the community and whether the judge adequately addressed that in his sentence plus, of course, whether this judge should have stayed on the case in the first place.

      7
      1
      1. True, parents help their kids.

But sometimes help means to let them pay “fully” for their own actions.

Here mom and dad did everything to keep this kid out of jail when what they should have done, (years ago) was to let him take responsibility on his own.
Punishment at any age in what ever form is a deterrent. Parenting with consequences for bad behavior from a young age keeps kids in line with proper behavior both in the family and out in society.

Here they have shown that they lost control early and are now willing to go “bankrupt” all the while thinking they can still control him.
        They can’t !

They should have let him go to jail.
        The first time

        1. Absolutely — that’s the point I was making. There are good parents who do all the right things and still it doesn’t work. Then there are those who keep making excuses and not teaching the kid anything positive.

Jail the first time? Maybe, maybe not. But this isn’t this kid’s first rodeo.

        2. It’s called tough love and if they truly love him they’d figure this out and apply it!! However, something tells me there’s no intelligent signs of life here!

    2. Fuck this Kenosha system! Go after the small little spit on the sidewalk guy or break your own fucking dishes guy and let all these fucking drug dealing BLM & ANTIFA loving murdering rapist arsonist mother fuckers get off easy fuck off!!! Kmiec is a piece of shit scumbag lawyer and a even worse dad apparently!! Fuck em all…🖕🖕🖕

      2
    3. and we have another liberal democrat going for State’s Attorney district attorney, Kenosha County needs a true conservative that is not going to bow down to the liberals games and their politics

  4. Kenosha County Legal system the whole Wisconsin legal system is run by White Supremacy and privilege’s, anyone else with those type of charges would have been crucified already not only by the Kenosha news but but this joke of a legal system.

    2
    3
  5. Dougvillo is a FAIR Judge. He has been an ADA in Racine and a Commissioner in Walworth CO. If you are trying to imply that he is friends with Kmiec, you are absolutely wrong. It seems like your obsession with Kmiec is taking you too far. You are burning too many bridges slandering people. It’s a great thing having the KCE reporting stories the Kenoshanews would never dare to report. What is not good is hl that it seems like you are using the KCE to attack Judges because they don’t rule the way you want. That ain’t cool at all.

    5
    9
      1. I agree that you didn’t say that. This is a small-ish community and most lawyers know each other. The DA had the sense to get out of the case. The judge should have, too.

And, frankly, just putting this kid on probation may not help him, either. It’s unlikely that he’s going to change his ways on a dime. Probation could be a prescription for failure.

        6
        1
        1. Thank you, Captain Obvious. That’s why he should be staying locked up for a couple of years instead of being set free shortly after doing less than a year when he was facing 75 years. Guess we have to wait until he gets out and kill somebody and then we can figure out some other DA to hand it off to.

  6. Yeah Ted milked my kid out of every red cent he could steal until he was locked up for good….. Then Teddy dusted off his shitty boots and took the next drug dealers case from the county. This is the type of scum you should all avoid. Anyhoo- Ted has a history of being the go-too guy for my former friends in Twin Lakes and the surrounding area when they tend to continually break the law. He did defend Linn from TL PD and go him a shitty deal!

        8
        1
      1. Shove your degree up your ass! You can send your kids to college today for a degree and they come home indoctrinated by some LGBTQ, BLM loving piece of shit professor and contribute to the decline of America!!! Libtardism and dumocratic morons are the real epidemic here!!!

        8
        3
        1. You are absolutely correct. We DO NOT want educated people in our Country. If they think for themselves they may question authority and the way we do things.

          1. Define educated. Does that mean a Gender Studies grad ? Does it mean a Master’s in Modern Dance ? Cool, they will be very helpful in designing future nuclear fusion plants with that surplus of “education “

      1. He was not a stellar student, never worked for a top notch firm because he didn’t have the smarts; worked at the Cook County Attorney’s Office, your degree can be from Granada or all they care.

  7. I think you are missing the 3D chess moves. I think everyone hopes this kid will overdose if he isn’t in jail. It might be the best for him.

So maybe they are doing us a favor….

    3

    1. I heard Ted’s former sister in law, Brandi Kmiec now going by Brandi Leese broke up her family and was having an affair with a dangerous ex convict named Anthony Romo who was in prison for home invasion, armed robbery, possession of grenades and served time in Dupage, IL for these crimes, and he threatened members of the family claiming he was a member of organized crime. The kids father currently has custody of the kids,
because the mother was so reckless with her behavior. Very sad….. 🙏🏻

      2
      1
      1. We all heard that Ted Kmiec’s sister-in-law was married to a sex trafficker who abused her and put her out there for sex. Her brother-in-law, being an attorney is an officer of the court would not help her when she went to him; we think the whole Kmiec family is evil and corrupt.

      2. Hey pimp face, why would you bring up this? To take the heat off of Ted? Know one cares about that shit except maybe you; ooh I wonder what’s behind this, are you the person involved? No matter, we all don’t care about some woman that you are trying to smear; shut the fuck up pimp boy! I hope those people sue you for smearing them on this format. Now that you have publicly outed them, I think we all should contact them and tell them.

      3. NO ONE CARES; WHY BRING THIS UP, DOUCHE BAG; SEEMS PRETTY SLEEZY THAT YOU WOULD TALK ABOUT THIS WOMEN WHEN SHE IS NOT PART OF THE CONVERSATION AND CANNOT DEFEND HERSELF.

  8. Given the substantial change in facts maybe this story should be pulled entirely and rewritten so the comments are based on what the judge actually did?

    4
    2
      1. The original story made it seem as if the judge let the defendant off with probation and no jail time which was later corrected. The original headline put the heat on the judge and now it’s the prosecutor. Many of the comments are directed at what the judge supposedly did or didn’t do based on the inaccurate story. I was simply suggesting starting over.

  9. Given the fact that there is substantial evidence that the Kmiec family is pure scum, and Trent, a product of Ted & Connie, the dumocratic libtards, is a menace to society….maybe everyone should make this story go viral!!!

  10. Ask any drug user west of the I who the “fixer” is when you happen to run across some trouble with the law and need a lawyer. This kid seems to have Hunter Biden kinda witchcraft power in the courts. Does he paint too?

  11. Ted Kmiec is a dirt bag attorney who has been warned about his son for many years. Neighbors, friends
have warned him about his son and his drug issues and his disregard for the law. Always bails his ass
out and always enables his behavior. What a pitiful family this is. Ted, Connie, Trenton should all be in the same cell.

  12. I see a lot of judgment, name-calling, and finger, pointing on these comments. Many of the people that follow this blog and write the stories claim to be a disciple of Christ. I have studied theology for many years, taught at a Catholic school, and certainly no where in the gospels does it say to judge, hate, and ridicule people. In fact, the gospels say just the opposite. They say let those without sin cast the first stone, and love your neighbor as yourself. The gospels main theme is “love and forgiveness.” I don’t see any forgiving statements or loving supportive statements in any of these stories, or posts. If you’re going to call yourself a Christian then please act like one. I am all for accountability, but some of these statements are just down right hateful. My two cents…..

    1. Maybe you take your own advice fathers rights cause you on every post on here for ted and facebook crying about your ex wife and her posting about her ..maybe revisit those christian values yourself .constantly slandering your exwife but if you were a man she wouldnt need to get a made guy ….shut up ans move on don…..

  13. Little kids make little mistakes. Parents can correct little mistakes or even let the little kid pay the price then..it appears that both kmiecs didn’t do that. Now they are trying to correct big mistakes and it is getting harder and harder. Who gets paid off the next time?

Ps at least they are sitting together in court and she isn’t screaming at him. Loving. Embracing. Safe. Not kmiec descriptors
