KENOSHA, Wis. — A Kenosha man is facing serious felony charges and is being held on a high cash bail after police say he brutally attacked and held a woman hostage inside their shared home for over seven hours, using a knife to threaten, injure, and control her.
Glen D. Pipkin Jr., 40, appeared in Kenosha County Circuit Court on Tuesday, where he was formally charged with eight criminal counts related to the June 16 incident. All of the charges carry domestic abuse modifiers and multiple penalty enhancers due to Pipkin’s prior felony conviction and the use of a dangerous weapon during the alleged attack.

The charges include second-degree recklessly endangering safety, substantial battery, false imprisonment, intimidation of a victim, two counts of threats to injure, battery, and disorderly conduct. Most are felonies, and prosecutors are seeking enhanced sentencing because Pipkin was previously convicted of felony theft in 2022. He could face decades in prison if convicted.
Assistant District Attorney Sarah Norkus appeared for the state and asked Court Commissioner William Michel II to impose a high cash bail. Pipkin remains in custody at the Kenosha County Jail. His preliminary hearing is set for June 25.

According to the criminal complaint, officers from the Kenosha Police Department responded to a call for help just after 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The victim told dispatchers she had been stabbed by her boyfriend an hour earlier. When officers arrived at the 14th Avenue residence, they found the woman bleeding from a large cut on her hand and observed blood on the walls, carpet, and bedding throughout the home.
Investigators recovered a large, serrated kitchen knife from the countertop, which appeared to have dried blood on the blade. A pitcher of water in the woman’s bedroom was also stained red, which she said she had used to rinse the wound.
In her statement to police, the woman said the violence began when Pipkin asked for sex and became enraged after she declined. She said he retrieved a knife from the kitchen and began waving it around, yelling. When she tried to use her phone to call someone for help, Pipkin allegedly ripped it out of her hand, slicing her in the process. He then reportedly told her to “shut up or I will make it worse” while pressing the knife against her arm.
The victim said she was too frightened to leave the bedroom and that Pipkin refused to let her call 911. She told police she was effectively held against her will for more than seven hours. During that time, Pipkin allegedly told her that if she tried to leave or if he heard police sirens, he would kill her — and that the only way she was leaving the house was “in a body bag.”
The woman further alleged that Pipkin forced her to cut herself, slammed her into a wall, and threw her into a plastic chair that broke under her. She said she waited until he left the home before calling 911.
Officers found Pipkin walking in an alley near 62nd Street a short time later. When confronted, he allegedly told police, “I know what this is about” but refused to make a statement, instead saying, “Let’s just go.” Officers found a small container with a green leafy substance in his pocket, but did not issue drug charges after field tests could not confirm whether it contained illegal levels of THC.
In her statement, the victim told officers that Pipkin had pulled a knife on her during a prior incident as well but that she had never reported it. She has elected to enforce the mandatory 72-hour no-contact order.
If convicted on all current charges, with enhancers, Pipkin faces significant prison time well beyond the standard statutory maximums.
