TWIN LAKES, Wis. — A 35-year-old Twin Lakes man is facing seven new felony charges of possessing child pornography, while already out on bail in three other criminal cases, including two for similar offenses.
Brandon L. Perry was in court Friday, where Court Commissioner William Michel II ordered a $75,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to return for a preliminary hearing on July 24.
The new charges stem from a 2023 investigation triggered by a cybertip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Authorities say Perry’s Google accounts were linked to dozens of concerning images, leading Twin Lakes Police to execute a search warrant at his home last May. Several phones and a laptop were seized.
After a lengthy forensic review by the Wisconsin Department of Justice, investigators say they recovered evidence from two phones, including images that they allege meet the legal definition of child pornography. Some images were reportedly linked to accounts that used Perry’s name or email.
Detectives also found a 700-page PDF file containing disturbing content and hundreds of images described as “modeling” photos of underage girls, some in inappropriate poses.
At the time of these new charges, Perry was already out on bail in three separate cases:
- A May 23, 2023 felony child pornography case, in which he posted $5,000 bail;
- A May 23, 2023 felony bail jumping case, with another $5,000 bail;
- An April 25, 2022 felony domestic violence case that included firearm charges, in which he posted $15,000 bail.
.
If convicted of all seven new counts, each a Class D felony, Perry could face up to 175 years in prison and mandatory minimum sentences. State law also imposes a $500 surcharge for each illicit image.
The case is being prosecuted by Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis. The investigation remains active.
