KENOSHA, Wis. — A Kenosha man on extended supervision for heroin dealing is back in custody after police allegedly found cocaine, marijuana, and a firearm during multiple searches in July, much of it near local schools.

(Kenosha County Sheriff)
Timothy L. Taylor, 47, was charged Tuesday with six felonies and one misdemeanor, including possession with intent to deliver cocaine and THC, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Court Commissioner William Michel II ordered a $75,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is set for August 5.
Taylor was on extended supervision for a 2013 heroin case when he was first stopped by police on June 16, according to the criminal complaint. Officers with Kenosha Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit said they observed a suspected drug deal near 51st Street and 19th Avenue, just blocks from Friedens Lutheran School. A search of Taylor’s vehicle turned up over 30 grams of THC in dispensary packaging, police said.
On July 21, after Taylor arrived at a probation appointment, police took him into custody and executed a search of his home at 5418 39th Avenue—less than 1,000 feet from Pike Elementary School. Inside, they allegedly found more than two pounds of marijuana, about 20 grams of cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials, and nearly $5,000 in cash. In a garage on the property, officers reported recovering an additional 1,000 grams of THC and a loaded Smith & Wesson handgun.
Detectives also found a headphone case stuffed in a toaster oven, which allegedly contained cocaine, a razor blade, and a digital scale. According to one witness, Taylor used intermediaries to conduct deals so customers wouldn’t know he was back selling drugs.
Taylor was convicted of heroin dealing in 2014 and released from prison earlier this year. At the time of his arrest, he was still serving a 15-year sentence on extended supervision. His prior convictions enhance the penalties for the new charges.
If convicted on all counts with the enhancer provisions, Taylor faces decades in prison.
