KENOSHA, Wis. — A 39-year-old Kenosha man was charged Tuesday with multiple felonies after police allegedly found over 100 grams of cocaine, a rifle, and more than $18,000 in suspected drug money inside a home on the city’s south side.

Alexander S. Tovar made his initial appearance in Kenosha County Circuit Court, where Court Commissioner William Michel II ordered a $75,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 31.
According to the criminal complaint, officers with the Kenosha Police Department and Pleasant Prairie Police executed a search warrant at a residence on 8th Avenue last Wednesday after a parole officer provided the updated address. Tovar, who had recently listed a different location as his residence, was found at the property and was reportedly sweating, acting erratically, and admitted to recent drug use.
Inside the home, investigators say they found two ounces of cocaine hidden in a boot, along with drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, sandwich baggies, and an AR-style rifle. The serial number on the rifle had allegedly been melted off. Officers also recovered cannabis products and a locked safe containing a separate handgun.
Tovar is charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine (over 40 grams), possession of a firearm by a felon, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of drug paraphernalia, and seven counts of felony bail jumping.
At the time of his arrest, Tovar was out on bond in two separate felony cases: a 2022 case involving drug trafficking and child neglect, and a June 2025 arrest for possession of THC. Conditions of both bonds prohibited him from using drugs, possessing firearms, or committing new crimes. Prosecutors allege he violated all of them.
If convicted on all counts, Tovar could face decades in prison.
