PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. – A Zion, Illinois man was formally charged today in Kenosha County Circuit Court after allegedly leading law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit that reached speeds of 108 mph, according to court and police records. Court Commissioner William Michel II set $40,000 cash bail, and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for August 6.
Loaded weapons thrown from fleeing vehicle
According to the criminal complaint, the incident began around 2:38 a.m. on July 30 when Pleasant Prairie police attempted to stop a black Hyundai Elantra previously involved in a pursuit with Zion police. Officer Garrett Walecki activated his emergency lights, but the vehicle fled northbound on Green Bay Road at extremely high speeds.
Sgt. Michael Lodygowski joined the pursuit and confirmed his lights and siren were also activated. During the chase, the vehicle allegedly blew through red lights, passed cars in oncoming lanes, and nearly collided with several uninvolved motorists, including a red Jeep and a dark-colored sedan. Officers clocked the vehicle at 108 mph in a 45 mph zone.
Near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Highway E, officers observed a backpack being thrown from the fleeing car. Shortly after, the vehicle came to a stop and a high-risk stop was conducted. Three occupants were detained, including the driver, later identified as 21-year-old Tyler J. Williams.
Ghost gun and Glock recovered
Officers recovered the discarded backpack, which contained a Glock pistol with an aftermarket slide and a chambered round, along with an AR-style pistol described as having a “ghost gun” lower receiver. That weapon also had a round chambered.
Williams was taken into custody and identified via his Wisconsin driver license. He was advised of his Miranda rights and declined to speak with officers.
Prosecutors charged Williams with two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, one count of fleeing or eluding an officer, and one count of carrying a concealed weapon. The reckless endangerment counts carry a maximum penalty of 12 years and 6 months each. If convicted on all charges, Williams could face more than 30 years in prison.
His next court appearance is scheduled for August 6.

Loser
Most Dem voters are…
He might have been one of the many stupid people of color who voted MAGA last November. If he did, he is certainly a loser.
Both of you are brainwashed. Pull your heads out of their receptacles every now and then so you can get some oxygen. The powers that be have you exactly where they want you.
The Kenosha News would use a picture of the scumbag in a shirt and tie going to church when he was eleven.
Looks like Mush Mouth from Fat Albert
I’m sure his impression is spot on.
He’s just heading to the Ren Faire with the rest of the weirdos.
