KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. — An 18-year-old Burlington man accused of participating in three separate burglaries across Kenosha County had his bail set at $15,000 on Friday, with formal charges expected to be filed Tuesday.

Assistant District Attorney Daniel Tombasco told the court that Mikel L. Robers, 18, is linked to break-ins that resulted in thousands of dollars in stolen property, including liquor, electronics, a John Deere UTV, and a Remington shotgun.

The first burglary allegedly occurred July 10, 2025, at Stein Farms on 112th Avenue in Burlington. Prosecutors say thieves forced their way inside, causing about $1,000 in damage, and stole liquor and a Ford F550 dump truck. Both the truck and alcohol were later recovered, and investigators say liquor consistent with what was stolen was found inside Robers’ home.
On August 15, prosecutors allege Robers and another man, Carter Hall, broke into a Wheatland barn on 308th Avenue and stole the UTV, laptops, and two Milwaukee Bluetooth speakers. A knife matching the description of one reported stolen was also recovered at Robers’ residence.
A third burglary at a Wheatland residence on 308th Avenue allegedly netted a shotgun, ammunition, and more speakers. Prosecutors say Hall implicated Robers, telling investigators the pair spray-painted “Barn Bandits” at one crime scene to mislead police. Hall later led law enforcement to stolen property, including the shotgun.

According to Tombasco, Robers initially denied involvement but later admitted to being present during at least two burglaries and acknowledged handling and firing the stolen shotgun.
Robers has a prior juvenile adjudication for theft from December 2022 and was reportedly out on bond for a felony substantial battery case when the burglaries occurred.
Prosecutors are seeking multiple felony charges, including burglary, theft of a firearm, theft of movable property exceeding $10,000, and felony bail jumping. If convicted of the most serious charge — burglary of a building or dwelling as a repeater — Robers faces up to 12 years and 6 months in prison.
Tombasco asked for bail conditions including no weapons, sobriety, and no contact with the burglary victims or locations. Court Commissioner William Michel II set temporary bail at $15,000 cash. Formal charges are expected to be filed Tuesday.
