District officials said the individual left immediately after being approached by school staff. No threats were made and no one was harmed during the incident.

School staff quickly notified the school resource officer, and the Kenosha Police Department soon apprehended the student. A continued police presence may be visible around Indian Trail as the investigation remains active.

As a precaution, all KUSD schools, nearby schools, and the Kenosha YMCA were notified.

KPD Lt. Joshua Hecker said the fast apprehension was the result of strong collaboration between the district and police. Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.

  1. Good thing the schools now allow students to wear hoods and hats, and scrunch their hoods to
    Hide their face……
Because why would it be important to easily identify “intruders” or people who don’t belong there??

  2. This is why the Indian trail students should be going threw the main office when entering the building between the start and dismissal. I understand it would be crazy to have 2000 students funneling threw the main office before school so that’s why anyone returning from a release or coming late should be entering threw the main office threw the door located in the secured entry way.

    2

  3. Go back to the rule no hats, hoods, headgear, or anything else. Students walk around in that school wearing sports bras and while stomach showing. Rules were all relaxed so
    The school didn’t have to
Enforce it with the students refuse to follow any rules.
Don’t believe me? Ask your students that attend to show you the TikTok videos posted in school. Ask them about how you can’t even use the lunch bathrooms because it’s a non stop THC vape cloud.

  4. So what law was broken? He walked into a building and left as soon as he was questioned as to why he was there? I don’t think they even have a good trespassing case against him.

      1. It’s only trespassing if you don’t leave when asked to, or have been previously given a no trespassing warning. Is every salesman who knocks on my door trespassing on my property?

        1. Read the ordinance. Any non student is required to check in to the main office. This is so dangerous people cant just walk into a school with our children. If that salesman just walks into your house and walks upstairs, even if he leaves when you ask; would you say he trespassed?

          1
          1
          1. I did read the ordinance see bellow. Let’s see if he’s charged with anything. I’m betting not. FYI, city ordinance violations are criminal offenses, but I bet he doesn’t even get a ticket.

    1. City of Kenosha has an ordinance against that. Trespass on school property. Only reason you’d skip out where you go and to a different school- up to no good, fight, drugs…..

      1. Excerpt from said ordinance: “It shall be unlawful, except as herein provided, for any person to remain in any public school building within the City without obtaining permission therefor immediately upon entering…” The key word being “remain.” Immediately upon entering, permission was not obtained, and he did not remain.
