KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. — Kenosha County’s two public golf courses will officially open for the 2026 season on Tuesday, March 24, following a record-breaking year that saw more than 121,000 rounds played across both facilities.
Brighton Dale Links, located in the Town of Brighton, is a 45-hole facility that includes three courses — the 18-hole Blue Spruce and White Birch layouts, along with the nine-hole Red Pine course. The property also features a driving range and putting green, both of which were enhanced in 2025 to improve the overall golfer experience.
Petrifying Springs Golf Course, situated within Petrifying Springs Park in the Town of Somers, offers an 18-hole layout known for its scenic setting and well-maintained conditions. The course also features a historic clubhouse building dating back to 1936, adding to its appeal for both local players and visitors.
Golf Director Jim Wallace said the county is looking forward to building on last year’s momentum.
“It’s our aim to offer a premier golfing experience for Kenosha County residents and visitors alike,” Wallace said. “We’re excited to welcome golfers back to our two terrific facilities.”
The strong turnout in 2025 surpassed the previous record set the year prior, signaling continued growth in the popularity of the county’s golf offerings. Officials expect another busy season as weather conditions improve and players return to the courses.
Tee times and additional course information are available through the Brighton Dale and Petrifying Springs golf course websites.

We are fortunate to have 2 great courses. I don’t understand why they don’t charge an out of state fee for the Illinois assclowns that pollute our courses. They have no problem raising fees for us, why not change an assclown fee for people who don’t actually pay for their upkeep in their taxes.
If it wasn’t for illinois. There would be no wisconsin
i agree. The amount of out of state plates at both county courses is insane.
3 price tiers:
Kenosha County Resident
WI resident
Out of state visitor
Increase revenue and it really wouldn’t add too much work. Keep them all even slightly lower than private courses.
Would the value ever be higher if it was decided to sell the courses and get out of the golf business. Kevin do you have any information on the cost to operate and net revenue the courses add to the budget? Including all workers and the administrative costs.
