KENOSHA, Wis. — City officials and community partners are set to unveil a new initiative aimed at showcasing Kenosha’s architectural and cultural identity during a press conference scheduled for Friday, May 1.
The event will mark the official launch of “Keys to Kenosha,” a planned architectural tour and cultural celebration designed to give residents and visitors behind-the-scenes access to some of the city’s most notable and lesser-known spaces.
According to information released by the City of Kenosha, the program will “open doors—literally,” allowing participants to explore historic landmarks and hidden locations that are not typically accessible to the public.
The press conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Kenosha Public Library’s Simmons Branch, located at 711 59th Place. Community leaders and project partners are expected to speak and provide an overview of the initiative, including details about participating sites and opportunities for public involvement.
City officials say the program is intended to highlight Kenosha’s built environment and heritage while creating a new signature experience for the community. The event will also offer a preview of what attendees can expect when “Keys to Kenosha” officially debuts later this fall.
Media members, business leaders, and residents are invited to attend the launch event, which will take place rain or shine. No RSVP is required.
