KENOSHA, Wis. — A familiar auto repair business on Kenosha’s south side is getting a new name, but owners Mike and Erin Decker say customers can expect the same service they have provided for decades.
The couple announced that their shop at 8601 75th Street will officially become Double Decker Auto Repair on June 15, 2026, marking the end of its longtime franchise affiliation and the beginning of an independently branded, family-owned operation.
According to the Deckers, the transition reflects their desire to build a brand centered on their family’s identity and commitment to the local community. The business has operated at the 75th Street location since 2002, and the Deckers purchased it in 2006.
“We’ve been serving this neighborhood for over 20 years, and we wanted our name to represent the family values and the personal touch we put into every repair,” co-owner Mike Decker said in a press release. The new name, he said, is both a play on the family’s last name and a reflection of the shop’s promise to provide both technical expertise and personalized customer service.
Despite the new branding, the shop will continue offering the same range of automotive services, including vehicle diagnostics and maintenance, brake work, alignments, steering repairs, tires, suspension work, heating and air conditioning repairs, emissions services, oil changes, and other routine maintenance.
The Deckers said the business will continue emphasizing straightforward explanations and transparent pricing.
“Our mission hasn’t changed one bit,” co-owner Erin Decker said. “We are so grateful to the Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie community for trusting us with their vehicles since 2006. We look forward to keeping our neighbors moving safely for many more miles to come.”
To mark the rebranding, customers are being encouraged to stop by the shop, see the updated look, and meet the team. Appointments can be scheduled by phone or through the company’s website.
Double Decker Auto Repair is located at 8601 75th Street in Kenosha and serves customers throughout Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie.
