KENOSHA, Wis. — The upcoming Keys to Kenosha event received a boost this week after the Wisconsin Department of Tourism awarded organizers a $14,500 marketing grant to help promote the community celebration.
The grant was formally presented Wednesday during a ceremony on the steps of the Simmons Neighborhood Library. Mayor David Bogdala thanked the Wisconsin Department of Tourism for supporting the event, which is intended to showcase Kenosha’s attractions and encourage tourism throughout the city.

Among those attending the presentation were Wisconsin Department of Tourism Development Specialist David Spiegelberg, Kenosha Public Library Director Sarah Townsend, Simmons Library Branch Manager Justin Keberlein, Community Development Specialist Abby Huff, City Development Director Tim Casey, Visit Kenosha President Dennis DuChene, Visit Kenosha Marketing Director Laura Gregorski, Kenosha Area Business Alliance Marketing Director Becky Noble, Kenosha County Communications Manager Joe Potente, Senior Community Development Specialist Mike Maki, and other local officials and organizers.

A second presentation photo included Dmitry Dukhan, Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Construction for event sponsor Uline, alongside Mayor Bogdala, Casey, DuChene, and Spiegelberg.

Following the presentation, Spiegelberg was given an informal tour of the historic Simmons Neighborhood Library by Branch Manager Justin Keberlein. The visit highlighted the library as one of the community assets tied to the Keys to Kenosha initiative and the city’s broader tourism efforts.

Lots of heavy hitters in the pics. $14.5K sounds like chump change compared to the cost of their pay and benefits.
Wonder what food and beverage tab was for the photo op?
If the mayor was not running to photo ops we would not need to pay to replace City Administrator John Morrissey. Be the mayor NOT a photo hound.
Make sure you run for office, be it Mayor or administrators. Obviously you are way better given your obsession each story that even mentions a city employee. Especially the mayor. There was only one that was perfect and maybe get closer to Him.

Agree. Are all the angry citizens who hate kenosha so much and maybe life in general always find a home on these pages?
So what was served and where was the “$14.5K windfall” celebration held? Everyone must have been on the clock/in pay status.
