Detective Tim Hackbarth of the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department is the President of the Kenosha County Deputy Sheriff Association. He organized the 32nd annual “Shop With A Deputy” program this morning at 8:00 am. This is Hackbarth’s 16th time organizing the event, which took place at Meijer in Kenosha. About 34 kids got to spend $250 on anything they wanted. They also each got a $100 gift card for groceries at Meijer for their families. “Comfort 4 A Cause” was back and gave each child a bag, quilt, stuffed animal, candy, and an activity.

Good job crime fighters.
Ah, yes, build trust with the little cherubs early on. That way, in a few years when they’re under investigation, they’ll be less likely to tell the cop to pound sand or demand a lawyer. Train ’em while they’re young!
correct, the haters hate the truth
Absolutely
Wow! You turned that negative a might quick.
you’re a sad little turd
Excellent work by All !
It’s hard to find anyone with a bigger heart than detective Hackbarth and the rest of the deputies who took part in putting smiles on so many faces. You truly show what role models should be. I’m incredibly proud to have gotten to know some of you over the years.
Congratulations to these deputies — and also to the Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie and Twin Lakes police officers whose “shop with a cop” events were not pictured here!
Unfortunately, I wasn’t invited to the other shop with a cop events. Otherwise I would have happily went.
Don’t think you need an invitation but you could check with those departments next year. We like good news stories, too!
someone always has to complain
Looked like a compliment, not a complaint.
