KENOSHA, Wis. — The Kenosha nurse who claimed her March OWI arrest was part of a police conspiracy is now facing a mountain of contradictory evidence—most of it from her own children, police body-worn camera footage, and official reports.

Sarah Becker, 39, was arrested on March 21 after her 9-year-old son called 911, saying he and his younger brother were home alone and hadn’t eaten. Kenosha police responded to the 5th Avenue residence and confirmed the children were unsupervised. Not long after, Becker arrived home and was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
In the days following her arrest, Becker took to Facebook and told Kenosha County Eye that she had “blown zeroes” on a breathalyzer and claimed police confirmed she was not intoxicated. But police reports and body-cam footage reviewed by KCE contradict nearly every one of her claims.
Police reports document erratic behavior, refusal to test
According to Officer Jake Mathews’ report, Becker returned home visibly disoriented, claimed she was coughing because she “swallowed an almond,” and later admitted to drinking two “Monaco” beverages at a gas station. Officers noted the smell of intoxicants and her slurred speech.
Her older son told police that his mother was frequently absent after work and that she had been intoxicated the night before. He said she once disappeared for three days.
When officers asked Becker to perform field sobriety tests, she refused—claiming she didn’t want the incident to be used against her in family matters. She was asked four times and declined each time, despite earlier saying, “I’ll do whatever you guys want.”
Though she verbally consented to a breath test at the jail, she failed to provide enough air to generate a valid sample despite multiple attempts and a successful demonstration. She later agreed to a blood draw at Aurora Medical Center. That sample is still pending lab analysis.
No signs of force or misconduct
Becker also implied police treated her unfairly during the arrest. However, body-cam footage confirms that officers were calm, followed protocol, and even brought her inside the house to avoid public embarrassment. There were no signs of excessive force or mistreatment.
At one point, Becker was seen playing with her dog and laughing moments before refusing sobriety tests.
Friend fuels false accusations online
In recent weeks, a woman identifying herself as Becker’s friend—Jacqueline Niccolai—posted accusations on social media claiming a local officer had planted evidence and committed domestic abuse.
Niccolai, who is described by acquaintances as mentally unstable and a drug user, provided no proof. KCE found no law enforcement records or complaints supporting her allegations.
Phones weren’t dead, children weren’t lying
One of Becker’s most frequent public claims is that her phone was dead and her son fabricated the story because he wanted to go to a friend’s house. But reports say otherwise.
Police found her phone powered on with multiple missed calls from both of her sons. The older child showed police his text thread with Becker, which ended hours earlier with no follow-up. Both boys independently told officers they had not eaten, received medication, or seen their mother for several hours.
The following day, on March 22, the same 9-year-old called police again, claiming his mother was intoxicated and that he had locked himself in the bathroom because he didn’t feel safe.
Becker has requested a jury trial at the Kenosha County Circuit Court, a matter usually handled at the municipal level. The date has not yet been set. Becker allegedly, an admitted user of hard-core drugs, like MDMA and crack, has been investigated by DCFS many times.

I know this person personally and she’s a big lair and her kids have admitted a lot about her I read some comments earlier this year about her and her kids she’s a bad person she leaves them home alone all the time and constantly blames her ex husband for everything when she’s a drunk and very irresponsible…. Niccolai’s FB page reads like a gossip column. Stories based on grudges, speculation, hearsay. Isn’t that slander? Kevin has police records and documents to back up his stories. Bunch of degenerates with records blaming everyone else for their problems…

You can partially blame the DA for this child neglect. Doesn’t look good for him. He refused charges against her in December when she stayed out all night and one of the kids ran away from home. Cops came and kept trying to locate the mom. Guess what? She refused to answer the phone while she was out PARTYING AT THE BAR. Kids had to go to CPS because the dad was on a planned trip out of town. CPS released kids to their 18 year old brother until the dad could get back into town. This type of bs happens all of the time and she’s never been held accountable and always blames other people. Doubt it? Dig into the mountain high stack of CPS papers and 911 calls logged on her, even by her own children. Everyone blames the dad until they realize all he’s ever wanted is safety for his children.
