KENOSHA, Wis. — A 48-year-old Kenosha man was arrested immediately after a preliminary hearing for two other pending felony cases and is now facing new charges in connection with a February shooting outside Ron’s Place.

Waymond Moronte Parker was taken into custody by Kenosha Police on Aug. 8, 2025, after appearing in court for his earlier cases. In court Monday, District Attorney Xavier Solis asked for a $250,000 cash bail on the new charges, but Parker was instead ordered held on $60,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing in the new case is set for Aug. 15.
According to a criminal complaint, the incident happened on Feb. 19, 2025, after Parker allegedly got into a verbal and physical altercation with a 43-year-old man inside the bar. Surveillance video reportedly shows Parker punching the victim, causing him to fall backward into the employee area and hit his head on the tile floor. The complaint states Parker then stomped on the man twice before being pulled away.
The victim told police the confrontation started after he showed Parker a magic trick. He said Parker later confronted him again in the parking lot, pulled out a black pistol, and fired at least one shot in his direction. Officers recovered a .40-caliber shell casing near the lot entrance.
Witnesses, including a woman who was with Parker that night, later identified him as the person who both battered the victim and fired the shot. The complaint also notes Parker is a convicted felon barred from possessing firearms due to two felony burglary convictions from 1995.
Parker is charged with first-degree recklessly endangering safety with use of a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, and substantial battery. If convicted on all counts, he faces decades in prison.

Nobody likes magic tricks in a bar, but that’s reacting a little strongly.
