Police identified the suspect as Marc W. Bruce, 35, of Woodridge, Illinois.
According to the department, Bruce communicated online with an undercover investigator posing as a 15-year-old girl. Police allege Bruce repeatedly acknowledged the girl’s purported age while engaging in sexually explicit conversations and later arranged to travel to Twin Lakes to meet her for sexual purposes.
Authorities said Bruce arrived in Twin Lakes on July 13 for the planned meeting and was arrested without incident by Twin Lakes police officers.
Police said Bruce was booked into the Kenosha County Jail on allegations of child enticement, a Class D felony, and use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, a Class C felony. Formal charges will be determined by the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office.
The investigation remains active, and police said additional charges could be referred as investigators continue reviewing evidence.
