KENOSHA, Wis. — Sorinel Velcu, 27, of Denver, Colorado, has been charged in Kenosha County after prosecutors allege he stole a credit card from a locker inside the Kenosha YMCA locker room before using it to purchase nearly $15,000 in gold coins at the Costco in Pleasant Prairie. Investigators further allege Velcu is the primary operator of what they describe as a multi-jurisdictional theft ring targeting YMCA and gym locker rooms across multiple states. Court records show he is scheduled to make his initial appearance on Aug. 14, 2026.

A possible 18 months just drop the charges and deport.
Hell no, he’ll just sneak back in. Since we’ve got him, keep him and make him miserable in prison while keeping his future victims safe. Or fly him halfway home and report him missing.
