For more than two decades, the Kenosha Probation and Parole office was located at 1212 60th St in Kenosha. On August 24, 2020 the building would burn to the ground by rioters.

The agents and other staff members all had to cram into a small office space on Highway H near the Kenosha County Detention Center. It was a less-than-ideal arrangement. The owner of the building, local retired business owner Randy Pulera, said that August 24, 2020 was a day “[he] would like to forget.” The building was a complete loss.

Pulera had leased most of the building to the State of Wisconsin Department of corrections for more than 20 years. It was remodeled a few times in that time period. Pulera said he had a good relationship with the State of Wisconsin and he was happy to have them back. He did give the state influence on how the new building would be designed and built. Friday afternoon, the local DOC administration invited local officials to tour the brand new building. KCE was fortunate to be invited as well.

We received a tour from Deputy Chief Terra Lindberg, who hosted the local criminal justice community. Lindberg told KCE that her and her team moved into the building on February 1, 2023, but wanted her staff to have some time to settle in before Friday’s open house. With the new building smell still fresh, we walked throughout the building whose occupants’ mission is to rehabilitate local offenders.

Building owner Randy Pulera learned that the flag that once stood in front of the building and survived the fire, was taken by some individuals shortly after the riots. He got his lawyer involved. Eventually, with his attorney’s assistance, he got the flag back. His wife Patricia framed the flag and brought it to hang on the wall of the the new building. “I thought it was the best place for it [to be displayed],” said Pulera.

  1. Ahh. When the peaceful left and local alderman laughed and applauded the damage to the city. Now they are all silent and no one knows who they are anymore. Losers

      1. There were a few and also supervisors such as berg. Maybe pay attention and believe facts instead of what you wanna believe. Berg and others were live on their Facebook during it. But hey, don’t wanna not fit ur agenda

    1. I mean let’s be honest: the arsonists were probably on extended supervision and they must’ve been driven mad by the capricious antics of these Kafkan POs.

  2. wirch usually shows for free snacks. Should have eliminated the middle man and just built a prison instead

  3. There were suspects that were positively identifed, and then extradited from Minneapolis for this arson DE Gravely declined prosecution. Gravely still never publicly gave a reason why he would not charge terrorists who came to destroy our city. KPD brought them into our jail 200 feet away from Gravely and he refused.

  4. A bit off topic…..Some of us may remember when the original location was “Chester’s Electronics” which before online electronics and chain stores was one place to go for stereos and wierd electronic gismos.
Oh Chester….The man usually had a cigar stoked up.
Oh yeah gimme some Sansui, Pioneer, and whatever else my factory paycheck would cover.

  5. Speaking of Berg…..curious as to why no article on him being elected by a 4-3 margin to the Racial Equality Board? Imagine that, Gabe Nudo was one of the four who voted to appoint him to this position. Hmmm…..interesting based on this site touting Nudo for so long and trashing Berg. So which is it?

    1. Creating division and race tensions between blacks/whites seems like a good place to keep this racist ✡️ busy rather than on positions that actually require working together to accomplish a common goal for everyone in the community.

Kudos to the 4 of 7 for being smart enough to keep this divider/traitor/racist on a committee that doesn’t matter.

Want to make Kenosha County better? End stupid committees like this that play into the hands of real racists/fascists like Berg.

    2. Simple, because it means nothing. BREAKING NEWS.. Americans lead the universe in fake rage… More after coffee break

  6. It is a shame that everything is located ease of I-94 and virtually nothing available west of I-94. There is no mental health facilities, probation offices, AODA clinics through the county. What we do have an abundance of is empty county space and building that are not being put use for the County residents.

It is a long time coming that someone stand up and push for services in the County.

    1. No thanks , we don’t want that here. We have our heads screwed on straight here. It’s a few things like our water not being fluorinated (we can think clearly) and our community not being diversified with rainbow flags and blm signs.

If you want crazy move to the east side of the interstate.

Not all on east side are shit for brains, but too many are. Look at your school board. Your mayor. Somebody’s voting for them….

      1. Oh you folks got plenty of felons and meth houses and corruption out in the county. Case in point: the Huffhines. Kind of amazing they got away without any prison time.

        1. He was operating a business and making money. (Illegally). But it’s okay for big pharma to make money by killing you with a poison gene therapy.

Huffhines didn’t need mental programs. Pretty sure he wasn’t a meat stretcher wondering which sex he was or if he was a victim of racism.

  7. Any story on his so called apology? (Berg). Can’t read on wack Kenosha news. I’m sure any apology was weak and didn’t mean a word. Is there money for this new position he’s in?

    1. There is no income from the position. But he and Poole did shake and hug after the meeting. Bergster apparently offered to cover Poole’s Lifetime membership to the VFW.

    2. Did I see this right? This happened 5 years ago? Talk about holding on to things. Get over it. Veterans have the right to call out Veterans and those that claim their Veterans. Too much stolen valor in the past 20 years.

  8. You clowns are so darn cute! I heard Berg once cut the tag off a mattress, while he put ketchup on his bratwurst. HE must be stopped,

  9. The new office was built without a space for paperwork to revoke someone’s probation or parole since that never happens anyway.
