Kenosha, Wis. – A 23-year-old Kenosha man has been charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography following an extensive investigation that began with a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Romeo L. Brantley was formally charged on March 3, 2025, and made his initial court appearance before Kenosha County Circuit Court Commissioner William Michel II, who set his bail at $150,000. Brantley faces a maximum sentence of 250 years in prison if convicted on all counts, with a minimum sentencing requirement of three years. He is scheduled for a judicial pre-trial hearing on May 9, 2025.
Investigation Details
According to the criminal complaint, the case against Brantley began in November 2023 when authorities received a cyber tip indicating that explicit material involving minors had been uploaded to an online storage service. The investigation linked the uploads to a Dropbox account and an IP address registered to Brantley’s residence in Kenosha.
Law enforcement obtained search warrants for the suspect’s Dropbox account and later for his home. Digital forensic experts recovered thousands of illicit images and videos from online storage, as well as multiple electronic devices from his residence. The materials allegedly contained explicit content involving minors, prompting authorities to charge Brantley with multiple felony counts.
During the execution of the search warrant on February 26, 2025, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in which Brantley was a passenger. Investigators seized electronic devices, including multiple iPhones, SD cards, and laptops, which were later analyzed for evidence. Authorities also found handwritten notes and login credentials further linking Brantley to the online storage accounts where the illegal content was located.
Legal Ramifications
Each count of possession of child pornography is classified as a Class D felony under Wisconsin law, carrying a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison per count and a fine of up to $100,000. Additionally, Wisconsin law mandates a minimum three-year prison sentence for each conviction. Courts may also impose a surcharge of $500 per illegal image or video found in the defendant’s possession.

Brantley remains in custody as he awaits further court proceedings. Authorities encourage the public to report any suspected online exploitation of minors, emphasizing that such crimes will be pursued aggressively to protect vulnerable individuals from harm.
This case remains under active investigation, and additional updates will be provided as new information emerges.

Why can the NCMEC monitor these sites but not shut them down for the safety of these children? So many sickos are going on these sites. I don’t want to sound like I’m defending these men at all but doesn’t it almost seem like entrapment? For the love of God, stay off these sites! Leave the kids alone!!
These ‘sites’ are Google, Apple and Amazon AWS. Idiots upload porn to the ‘cloud’ not knowing the cloud is just a server that is constantly scanned for said images. Good luck shutting them down. Nice work NCMEC! Also, homie is the wrong color for this crime, go carjack someone, this is a white folk crime.
It’s almost impressive how you manage to be both profoundly ignorant and shamelessly racist—a truly vile combination. The irony is staggering: you condemn someone while being just as despicable, if not worse. Hypocrisy must be your only real talent.
Shut up bitch, stereotypes are 99% true.
So you say 99%? Let’s take a deep dive then shall we?
1. The “Angry black man”-assumes that black men are aggressive, confrontational or prone to violence, often leading to fear or over-policing
2. The criminal – paints black men as inherently criminal or suspicious reinforcing racial profiling and unjust treatment by the justice system.
3. The absentee Father-suggests that black men are generally irresponsible or uninvolved in their children’s lives, ignoring systematic issues and the many devoted black fathers.
4. Hypersexualized or predatory- Stereotypes black men as sexually aggressive or uncontrollably driven by lust, which historically was used to justify violence against them.
5. Unintelligent or uneducated- Assumes Black men lack intellectual ability or ambition, ignoring the achievements and potential of individuals.
6. Lazy and dependent- Suggests black men don’t want to work or rely on handouts, despite many working multiple jobs or facing systemic barriers to employment.
7. Threat to White Women- A deeply racist trope from slavery and Jim Crow eras, still used to justify violence and exclusion.
99% you say? Shall we keep going?

This kid is young! I don’t get what is in someone’s DNA that attracts them to young children. What has happened in their upbringing or their life to think this is ok. smh!
