Kenosha County Eye Plus+ officially launched early Monday morning—and less than 48 hours later, all I can say is: Wow. Thank you!

I’m incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support. So many of you have already subscribed and are helping to further my vision of an informed, engaged Kenosha County. A few questions and concerns have come up, and I want to address them transparently.

Anonymity

If you’d like to subscribe to KCE Plus+ anonymously—even from me—you absolutely can. All that’s required is a username, email address, and password. Then, enter your payment information.

If you use PayPal, I will be able to see your name. However, if you pay by credit card through Stripe, it’s secure, and I won’t have access to your personal details. For those with added concerns, using a prepaid credit card to sign up for a one-year subscription is a great option.

Regardless of your method, I will never share who is subscribed unless you choose to make that known.

Comments

If you register with your first and last name, those will appear publicly when you comment while logged in. You can choose to display no name, a pseudonym, or your real name—whatever suits you. If you’ve already entered your real name but want to change it, just go into your account settings and delete your first and last names. Your comments will then appear under your username.

Want more privacy? You can also comment while logged out. This allows you to post anonymously or under a different name each time.

Moderation
I receive dozens, sometimes over a hundred comments per day. While I don’t have time to review every single one, I do moderate for hate speech and slurs. Certain keywords are permanently banned. Racist, anti-Semitic, or other hate-filled language—like the n-word or other vile slurs—will never be allowed on this platform. Take that elsewhere.
