KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. — A Racine man is facing five criminal charges after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase through Pleasant Prairie and Kenosha on Monday night while his license was revoked and two bonds were in effect.

(Kenosha County Sheriff)
Irvin Yair Molina, 21, appeared in Kenosha County Circuit Court Tuesday and was formally charged with first-degree recklessly endangering safety, fleeing or eluding an officer, operating while revoked (alcohol related), and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping. Court Commissioner William Michel II set cash bail at $30,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 12.
According to the complaint, a Pleasant Prairie officer clocked Molina speeding at 50 mph in a 30 mph zone near 75th Street and tried to pull him over around 8:45 p.m. Instead of stopping, Molina allegedly fled through Pershing Plaza with such force that his car’s “donut” tire blew out. At one point, the complaint states, he drove directly toward a squad car and forced the officer to stop to avoid a head-on collision.
The pursuit, which reportedly topped out at 52 mph, ended behind homes on 45th Avenue, where residents came outside after seeing a vehicle tear through their yards with its lights off. Molina was arrested after officers conducted a high-risk stop.
Police confirmed Molina’s license was revoked due to an alcohol-related conviction and had not been reinstated. He was also out on bond in two separate misdemeanor cases in Racine and Kenosha counties, both of which prohibited him from driving without a valid license. Molina allegedly told an officer he fled because he had a warrant.
If convicted of all charges, Molina faces up to 20 years in prison.
