KENOSHA, Wis. — The City of Kenosha has set citywide trick-or-treat hours for 4–7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025. The city is continuing its practice of holding trick-or-treat on Halloween Day. Households that plan to hand out candy are asked to signal participation by turning on a porch or front-yard light.
Drivers are urged to slow down and use extra caution during the three-hour window to help prevent accidents.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers these safety reminders for families:
- Eat only factory-wrapped treats; avoid homemade items from strangers.
- Choose well-fitting masks, costumes and shoes to prevent blocked vision, trips and falls.
- Look both ways and use crosswalks where possible.
- Keep costume accessories like swords or knives short, soft and flexible.
- Inspect treats for choking hazards or tampering before eating.
- Add reflective tape or other visibility aids to costumes; sunset in Kenosha on Oct. 31 is 5:46 p.m.
